Cuba's soviet leftovers are finally grinding to a halt. The video confirms the facts without mentioning bad ideology or corruption as the source. The viewer will notice that with the power gone, it is just a question of days before motor vehicles runout of gas and diesel because gas stations can no longer pump fuel out of empty underground tanks. The lack of electricity also undermines the nutrition and health of Cubans who cannot obtain or retain perishable food without refrigeration. Urban residents will be affected first, with no backyard gardens or livestock to supplement existing stockpiles of canned and dry goods. The amazing part of this crisis is the effects are not limited to the poor, the rich elites and party bureaucrats are equally affected along with law enforcement and the military. A scenario 'ripe' for revolution.

Russian refineries near the Black Sea are being bombed by the Ukrainians. There are not enough Russian ships and they have trouble navigating the Black Sea. The investments have not come, except for groundbreaking for another hotel -- when the hotels are largely vacant because there are few tourists. The few Russian tourists who have come have come primarily for sex tourism. The Cuban government knows this but looks the other way. And Russian tourists have a reputation for being stingy.

If Cuba did not have a large military, then the Cuban government would have changed long ago. As for the embargo, Cuba stole American property. When compensation is paid then America would be open to trade. Cuba says that it won't pay. You do not have a right to demand people trade with you after you have robbed them. In any case, it does not matter. Cuba has nothing to trade. It does not even produce enough sugar for its own needs. It is like all communist economies. At some point they wind down and collapse.
