Room tour of room 2316 at Playa Costa Verde in Holguin Cuba. Room 2316 is a bottom-floor corner room located in Building 23.
This resort has been around for many years, but the room was fine. You can tell they are older, but they did a good job cleaning daily.
There is a dresser located in the closet in the bathroom. The closet mirror doors were both off the tracks, but could be opened with a little "encouragement"! There was also an iron and ironing board in the closet, and the closet had plenty of hangers for clothes.
The shower worked well every day, with lots of hot water, and no issues with water pressure.
Other than the dresser and closet, there was minimal storage next to the mini-fridge. The min-fridge in our room was jacked up quite high, and the control nob was broken so we couldn't make any adjustments. Anything placed in it would freeze by the next day. We probably could have called maintenance to have it addressed but we didn't bother.
AC voltage in Cuba is 220V, so you need to make sure your items are rated for 220V. Travelers from North America will in most cases have items that are safe to use with 220V, but it's still a good idea to verify. Pretty much all electrical items will have a sticker on them indicating if they are compatible with 220V. Just look for input voltage on the sticker that indicates something along the lines of 110-220V. Outlets in the room are configured for North American specs, the items will plug into the outlet without any adaptors (which is another reason to make sure your items are rated for 220V). The number of outlets in the room is very limited. We brought along a power bar (220V rated), so we could charge devices nightly.
The outdoor balcony was nice, but we didn't use it much, we don't spend much time in our room on vacation.
