Light sparing, the key to getting really good. Too many gyms forget the art of light sparing, you cant beat up your sparing partners all the time, and getting in the ring to to take each others heads off isnt the way to train. ITs good a few weeks out before a fight to turn it up but the bulk of sparing should be light like this. In this way sparing can be done every single training day. the every other day sparing (3 times a week) is for 6-8 weeks training camps for people getting ready for a fight, because the sparing has to be more intense to build endurance, the sparing is also harder. but for regular off session or in between camps you should be sparing every day to build techniques and keep a general level of fitness through boxing itself.

Bueno, eso es parte de la preselección nacional y no la de mayores, me refiero a los que están actuando en Liga Mundial de Boxeo. Estos pueden ser parte de la preselección juvenil. Están en una EIDE ( escuela de iniciación deportiva especial)y no en la finca. Para los que no lo sepan las EIDE es donde empieza la consolidación del deportista cubano para máximo nivel internacional, aquí entran los escogidos por sus resultados a nivel municipal y provincial y para que lo sepan, hay que jugarla de verdad. Hay muchos muchachos/ as aquí que le dan una lección a cualquier mayor, en cuanto a técnica y calidad de movimiento y eso sucede en cualquier deporte. Aquí se llega con mentalidad ganadora y de trabajar.

Muchos juveniles que ahi ahí en la espa cuando suben a la finca presionan y les cuesta mucho trabajo a los adultos ahí se refleja el trabajo y las ganas de estos muchachos de llegar lejos

Joe Rogan/Firas Zahabi brought me here. They said that the Cuban national team usually does light sparring and are in that flow state. I dunno why the 2 boxers at the middle are genuinely trying to drop each other tho

hey! you are right! they usually do light sparring and are in the flow state with each other. but against other countries they are very aggressive during sparring. At least what I saw. My coach back in Sweden always taught us cuban style mixed with Russian. I usually trained light sparring and in the flow state. But now and then you have to get a bit agressive as well!

The Cuban guy was actually reprimanded by his coach for going too hard, to which he answered that he was just reacting to the other guy's energy.

the actor is such a bozo. It is a sparring session with most likely 10 oz. gloves on. He sparres all out of ego and comes charging in like he is boxing for the gold medal himself. And then when he defensively maneuvers he retreats like crazy 10 to 15 steps away. Smh
