Always nice to get news from Samuel. He does such an important job. I find it interesting that the only safe way for the Cuban family to leave Cuba was to go to Russia. How can a family live on $10 a month?! When I visited Russia I met a Russian couple who wanted to move to Winnipeg in Canada because they were tired of the corruption in their country! It shows that people everywhere basically want the same things: fairness, peace, a job and a home for their families. Maybe, maybe Samuel can give this family a paying job so they can start rebuilding their life. Wishing them the best!

You can not convert this to the west. Cubans have food stamps given by the state, call "libreta". There is some food what can be taken for food stamps but need to wait in the queue and many things is just not available. Also water, electricity and other expenses are usually low. And there is no taxes. Of course, is not perfect but also far from this what you get in the US for 10$. Dollars are needed as currency for buying stuff like fridges, microwaves, phones etc. Special shops sell this only in dollar and all products are overpriced, even for western standards. And dollars you can get only from family members who are in the US or elsewhere or you have contact with the tourists. If not, bad luck

@@user-lm3jo9kn9i I couldn't agree more. This is only the second video I've watched on this channel and you have just confirmed my suspicions. I chose this video because of the word 'escaped' and thought I would give him a fair chance. I should've know that yt would only promote this sort of Russian channel. How obvious are the questions too, totally irrelevant to the context of helping people and only asked for one reason.

Sergie, (hope I have his name correct) is an amazing human being and will have many blessings in heaven waiting for him. I would like to know a little of his story. What does he do for a living and where is his home? How did he get involved doing what he does for others less fortunate? Do they raise money for donations to help these folks or does he use his own funds to help all these people? The fact that he includes toys for children and food/toys for their pets just blows my mind. Thank you for all of your help for the people of your country who are less fortunate and in need.

Vasya is republishing content he posted in Russian years ago seeking donations for the same “charitable” causes, BUT HE IS STEALING THE MONEY. Vasya is lying when he claims the charitable financial needs he describes are time-sensitive in Russia. My investigation revealed that Vasya posted these exact same videos in Russia two years ago. Money for those projects was collected in Russia and the projects were completed two years ago. These fake videos are on both Russian KZbin and Instagram accounts. Vasya has simply re-released them in America-falsely representing the needs to be “current”-and is accepting donations that he illegitimately pockets. It is NOT going to help children or anyone else. I asked KZbin to remove Vasya’s posts as scams, but apparently it is ok to steal from people. If you really want to help those in need, donate to known, legitimate charities in the U.S."
