@@Tutorial_ism awesome! I've recently gotten really into music. I find that creative people sometimes need to branch out into other avenues for continued inspiration. I bought the Roland Juno DS synthesizer to go with my Cubase 11 Pro. I'm pretty excited to get more into music. Maybe then I can just do all of the music in my cooking shows 😊 keep up the great work with your channel!

Having your own music on your channel would be awesome. Would love to see that! I have a full one-hour Beginner’s Guide to Cubase 11 on my channel which should be more than enough to set you down the road. Also available do Zoom lessons for anything more tailored to your own personal goals if the YT video isn’t enough to get your going

Thank GOD there's a distortion section that I get to watch.... I have spent the past 72 hours trying to comprehend it. I am about to watch yours. It took me 2 months just to find out that the phrase I needed for what I want is "Distortion Plugins" now I need to figure out how to use it. The vocabulary/lexicon section of production is PAINFUL!!!

I don’t think I went too much in to the explanation of distortion, but if you have any questions let me know and I will answer them in my Thursday live streams!

Thanks for this. Coming from an older version of cubase it reveled cubase is really catching up with its plug ins. So many of of these make processing so much more simple and it's all built right in. I was unaware of just how many stock plugs I wasn't even aware of.

Hi thanks very much for the tutorial. I have a question though. I am trying to make YT-tutorial videos. I connected my E-Pian via a soundinterface into cubase. But I am having some latency issues. Thats why I was forced to switch to VST-Instrument. I gotta be honest. I dont like the sound of the VST instrment. Do you recommend any effects for the piano sound? I am an absolute beginner

This is great. Thank you for making this available. I am a singer, and I want to begin learning music production. Would you advise I go for Cubase 12 pro or Cubase 11? Thank you so much

Cubase 12 has scale assistant and better options for fine-tuning the timing on things like vocals

Surly dynamic range is good when listening to the finalised recording. If everything is same volume, the recordings flat? How you getting on with the speakers. Do you recommend them or others? Excellentism Tutorialism. I've picked up so much infoism. Appreciated. How does sync Work?
@Tutorial_ism3 жыл бұрын
I don’t think you should think of dynamic range in terms of good or bad. How much you need is dependent on the source material, the required result and your personal preference. If you are engineering a radio show you will pretty much always want the dialogue to be dynamically flat. If you are mixing the score for a horror movie, a massive range in dynamics will help shock the audience. The way I was using the compressor on that vocal - well if you imagine that vocal in a full mix. If you set the volume to where the vocal sat right when she was singing quiet, the loud part would drown everything else out and vice versa. How much to reduce the range would be completely dependent on what else was happening in the track. This is why I said compression is one of the easiest concepts to understand, but most difficult to master.
@proteus13 жыл бұрын
Tutorialism What is sync. I have cubase, but very new to using it. Are the Adams any good?
@Tutorial_ism3 жыл бұрын
Sync just means an effect will modulate in time with your project. Try turning sync off and on with a delay whilst you have the metronome playing. As for the speakers, I love them, but have only used maybe two or three other speakers as extensively as these, so I’m not exactly an expert. Well, not being an expert goes for everything really, that is why I don’t make tutorials, only tutorialisms!!!!

As it happens, I am watching a video about the recording of ‘In the Air Tonight’ on the Produce Like a Pro channel right now. They talk alot about heavy compression on the drums and limiting on the vocals to get the sound of that record

Hello. Thank you again for doing this video. I have a MAJOR REQUEST. Would you please repost your video on “How to use to use the Cubase Flex Phraser? When I try to watch it KZbin tells me that is a private video and won”t let me see it, for that reason. That has never happen to me before. The FlexPhraser is one of the Cubase plug-ins that I really want to learn how to use. I saw Greg Ondo use it on his ( Cubase Goggle Hangout ) that he does every Tuesday and Friday, between 1;00 to 5:00pm but, your video on the subject was explained it a little better for me as a beginner. I kept a copy in my Notes section but, like I said before I can’t view it anymore. So if it is still private for what ever reason and you can change it back to being public again I would be forever greatful. Thank you again for posting theses videos for people like me that are really trying to learn how to use Cubase and become better recording artist. I wish you even more continued success in all of your music endeavors. Have a wonderful day and prosperous life.
