Cubbee & CK Aboard The Bombardier CL-415 Water Bomber - June 14 2013

A BIG thank you to Gord for giving us an awesome tour of the CL-415 Water Bomber Plane and a few other aircraft. That thing is awesome! Sorry about the poor camera work, but we weren't planning on making a complete video of this but changed our mind afterwards. Be sure to watch the next video where we take our first out of town guest rider, Gord, out on the Yamaha's!

I really love this kind of plane it perfect! If anything is to go wrong with it you can always safely land on the water and there is plenty of room inside the plane! If I could fly and had to chose I would pick this plane!

Big loong wheelies (until it gets to cruising altitude). Used to love to watch the fighter jets from the sidelines of the runway take off with their afterburners near dusk, what a RUSH! Big flaming wheelies!

***** Just forest! Came within 1km of my buddy's house, they grabbed some shit and ran, It was coming fast...we live in the bush! LOL! The Bombers did an awesome job of getting it under control in the high winds! Amazing watching them bank and dive!

Hi-tech compared to the 1960's vintage C130s and H3 Sikorskis we used to wrench on (I'm dating myself aren't I)!? Love the digital instruments (with analog backups of course!). You tall enough to fly that thing Cubbee, booster seat maybe? Better stick to Grizzlies!

The guide gave you the wrong numbers. That plane holds 13500 pounds of water 6750 per side or each of the 4 tanks holds 3375 pounds. In metric it carries 6.1 cubic meters . Of course a cubic meter is 1000 liters and it weighs 2200 pounds or 1 metric ton.

The CL-415's are pretty good machines but they cost 35 million dollars a piece and only haul 1500 gallons of water, in contrast the Air Tractor Fire Boss is about 3 million dollars and can haul 800 gallons, one CL-415 can not out work 5 or 6 Air Tractors in fire fighting. Plus multiple aircraft can respond to different fires at the same time.

Bobilator Realitywall The Air Tractor is an agricultural aircraft, but the Fire Boss conversion with Floats was specifically built for fighting fires.
