I think the beauty of the film is that it never IS explained who built the cube or why. The film's message is that sometimes you shouldn't get distracted trying to see the big picture when you should be focusing on the here and now. One of my absolute favorite things about the film is that ever since I first watched it, I occasionally get "cube dreams" when I go to sleep. I dream of the cube in some surreal way, and sometimes it's absolutely horrifying while others it's fantastical and strange.

Cube, more specifically Cube 2, is a modern Quake-style game that involves a bunch of cybernetic swine running around with rocket launchers and killing each other.

I did modify the map, actually! The bridge at that part is really just a long, square tube, and the cube going down it is just a square func_door that I animated. That's about all I really edited, though, so there's not much of a difference between mine and the original. If you want the tunnel for filmmaking, though, just know that the map contains tons of func_doors. Apparently, brushes like that can only be given an animation set if you record a scene nearby. Otherwise they appear invisible.

I'm not sure what to say, then. Admittedly, due to my lack of experience with Hammer and SFM, I do have a few various gm_cube-related files floating around different parts of my SFM files, but I don't know if those are just from previous copies or compilations of the map or if they're important. I'll reupload the zip with those, so try some of them out and see if anything works.

Sorry, man. Again, however I really didn't edit that much. Just download the original gm_cube map, look up a tutorial on how to compile it in HDR so SFM will like it, and add in a square tunnel.

Recursive Sweatpants I got it. So you install everything into the garrysmod/download/ folder, right?

mirrorman95 I don't think so. I believe you should add the .bsp file (I believe the gm_cube_v1a_d one; the rest are Hammer files and aren't needed) to the maps folder and then merge the materials folder into the \garrysmod one. However, I would advise against using my version of the map. All I did was add a dummy tunnel to it so I could animate one of the rooms going through it like you see in the trailer. If you're using it in Garry's Mod, it doesn't do anything at all, so I would highly recommend downloading the original map here instead: gmod.gamebanana.com/maps/73204

I just read the plot of the film, and personally thought it sounded like the worst film ever made, surpassed only by its sequel, lol. But that's just me.
