Seems like there is negligible difference in capacity. I do enjoy the reusability of the cups, but at the end of the day, as long as I can bring home a big container of pieces, I'm happy 😁

I think this is great as recently dark orange 2x6 plates were on the wall but I didn’t manage to get as many as I would have liked as they took up a lot of space, however now I can stack them
@CubeBrick Жыл бұрын
Yes, this will be much better for big parts for sure 😄
@xx1norm1xx Жыл бұрын
The only problem I see with them is that I doubt anyone will want to reuse them. As you showed they breakdown over time just due to the nature of the construction and materials so it seems more of a hassle to reuse them than the cups. At least with the cups they are plastic and won't be thrown out but overall I'm in favour of the boxes. I can't wait to stack a bunch of 8x8 plates and really get my moneys worth, bigger pieces like that are so limiting with the cups.
@CubeBrick Жыл бұрын
Exactly. I'm overall a fan of the cups, sonI have to stack some more until they're avaliable. 😅
@chavesmeister Жыл бұрын
My closest Lego store is at a short 2h15min flight away from me 😂, so I never experienced the pick a brick wall, but the new boxes are way more eco friendly not to mention because of the box shape you can fit more Lego pieces if you take the time to stack them, making it a better bang for your buck!
@CubeBrick Жыл бұрын
That's bad luck. But they started making more stores now, so maybe one day you'll get lucky 😅I have the nearest around 100km from home, so I visit from time to time, but not as often as I would like 😅
@chavesmeister Жыл бұрын
@@CubeBrick yeah the store closer to me is brand new, less than a year old! But I live in a very rural are so they won’t open a store here. I have plans to travel and when I do so I will for sure go to the Lego store and stack up boxes 😅
@FlatSixLego11 ай бұрын
To fill at a wall, they’re a lot better, but I have not even considered reusing them at all, whereas I do have all my cups in use still. I feel it’s a classic perception story where carton is better than plastic, but in reality it really isn’t.
@CubeBrick11 ай бұрын
Yeah unfortunately... The plastic reusable ones even gave us a discount if someone wanted. But that's the reality we have to live in now 😒
@roger092910 ай бұрын
It seems like the cardboard boxes would be easier to overstuff. Wonder how staff will deal with that. Also, what percentage of buyers actually reuse the cups?
@CubeBrick10 ай бұрын
I know that some ppl took their cups for refilling, but I like using them for storage. And as for overstuffing, it all depends on the store. Some allow, some are strict about closing the box evenly.

Omg finnally! Inmer size and even in metric! Can you please test and confirm or correct if it fits these?: With: 19 bricks and a tile Depth: 11 studs plus a plate sideways Height: 7 studs I don't have any lego stores nearby bout would like to plan stacking as best as possible because once I do the trip I'm picking many if these "large" boxes (I mean hopefully, imagine I go these and I can't fijd any single piece I need lol pretty unlikelly but who knows)
@CubeBrick Жыл бұрын
Depth is more like 19 bricks+tile. But you can never plan too precisely, since some stores allow more stuffed boxes, and some dont. Anyway good hunting. 😉

They hold less product. Volume is less, plain and simple. Very happy I have 2 Bricks and Minifigs stores within 25 minutes of me. They use cups and zip lock type bags.

How much does a small and large cup cost and how much does a small, medium and large box cost.

I think the prices stayed the same after the change. I don't have a store near me, but from what I've heard, they are 45/80 PLN in Poland.

They wanna be so „eco” so why they used ink on the boxes ? Plastic is better. Maybe not in that shape but its better
@CubeBrick Жыл бұрын
The ink on cardboard is still recyclable. And many people threw away the cups, which are not, so from the ecological point of view, it's better for them, especially that they even are starting to make parts from plants. I'd rather have cups as well, but that's something we have no controll over unfortunately...

hi the only thing lego put the price of the part up alot from £12 to £15 this was a bad move and i have not been in the shop for years 13 may be unlucky to some why they jump over it i do know alot are not spending on them any more cost of living has hit alot in the uk like co vid that is going away lego is not there's going to be alot of lego in lock up and in places i am see lego pab at car boot sales in the car boots here in the uk or on ebay now
@CubeBrick9 ай бұрын
I didnt even knew that the price went up. Or maybe it just did in the UK? I don't jabe a store nowhere near so I can't confirm that. Still it is an expensive hobby, so that's something we need to love through 😅

I don't have a single pick a brick cup yet, since I don't have a Lego store near me :/ But on another note I think that the card board boxes are a lot better, more eco friendly and as long as you are careful with them I think that they should last a decent time. Btw love the memes lol

Thanks. I wanted to spice up the vid, since the topic is not that exciting on its own. I also don't have a store in my town, so when I'm near one, I always get a cup or two 😅
