Not really. You need to send some documents, including your CV and grades from the university. Not sure if it is required but definitely a huge plus if you show in some way your interest in space.

feels weird to know you where in my home country (belgium), seems you had a great time. just wondering, what were the conditions to apply for the "summer school"?

To apply to any ESA Academy event you need to be a student in one of the member countries, send them your grades, letter of recommendation and in our case we also had to write an essay. I think also CV was required.

thats just just incredibly cool, its definitly noted, im currently ust 1 1/2 years away from finishing a mecatronics highschool and will the go on to study something similar so i have that noted, and will probably apply if something like this happens again, acsually doing some airospace engineering experience is a truly one-of-a-kind chance honestly im kind a jelaous of you and would do anything for a similar oppertunity
