I'm very grateful for you not choosing one of those artwork pictures with impossible Rubik's cube states that have 4 colours only and 2 centers of the same colour. :D The bandaging would honestly annoy me but the puzzle looks very pleasing! 👍 I also liked the design part - I've not thought about this type of diverging cut lines before.

about the curved section stickers, i think the overlapping stickers fit the aesthetic of a "melted" puzzle. great puzzle either way!

Wow! Honestly, the stickering job looks immaculate (despite "our little secret"), especially the huge seamless curved parts look sooo smooth and satisfying. Also, the first look at the scrambled cube gave me "Spartan chariot" vibes

Great idea and great job! It does look rad! However I'd print only the melted sections as extensions for a regular sized 3x3. Then I would fill in (super glue and plastic dust or baking powder) and file down the meeting points so they looked seamless. As the result the puzzle would turn very smoothly. Also reduced printing time and stickering,

That sounds like a good strategy for making a puzzle like this.

Hey, great vid, as a solid user with access to a 3d printer I am interested in having a try at designing a mod. Can you make a vid that shows you modeling a cube?

I would recommend checking out Atlanta Puzzler's channel, he has an extensive series of videos covering simple to intermediate puzzle designs.

Hey do you sell your STL files for printing anywhere? Would love to give this a try

I don't provide STLs for most puzzles. And if I do, they're always free.

@CubesMadeEasy gotcha! Where can I find the ones you have released if any? :)
@CubesMadeEasy10 ай бұрын
@@cubecatecho Currently I've posted a few extension mods, along with upgrades and/or additional files for others' publicly available puzzles. I might release a few more puzzles' STLs this year. www.thingiverse.com/cubes_made_easy/designs

Tip to sand in impossible directions: Use clean sand grannular micro cubes on a wt smooth clothe, then do a circular motion moving the circular pattern slowly along a strait line. Thay is how to get a mirror like surfafe on internal walls of stones with human muscles. Another way is to use Ventury effect on a tube, air in non ventury side and fine sand particles on the ventury side, with an angle between 30º an 45º to the surface, control air speed from less to more, till sanding is at the level you want to get, do such testing over a test piece, when speed is adjusted then apply that speed to all the parts.

I sanded internal parts of a printed puzzle. Mostly I used a file, and hand-held sandpaper (wrapped around a finger, or bent in half to get in tight spots) to finish the work. It was ABS plastic, so MUCH easier to process than PLA. I'd had no patience to do it with PLA, not for such complex shapes.

@@nowymail Understand, but patience and knownledge is the mother for perfection.

I'm going to try some different techniques of sanding curved parts later on.
