I dont work for CS, but another company. So I cant say for certain about CS. But generally the job of running a storage site (usually a solo job unless it is a very large facility), involves three things: Janitorial (keeping the site clean of trash, cleaning vacated units, offices and bathrooms, etc.), salesmanship and clerical duties (paperwork, selling units and moving supplies, etc.), and collections (making calls to delinquent tenants, dealing with auction units, etc). As far a maintenance goes, we really only do very simple stuff, like changing lights or spraying lubricant on door tracks. If something is actually broken, a work order is submitted and a contractor/vendor is hired to deal with it. But again, thats for the company I work for (Public Storage), not Cube Smart.

I’m thinking about working as a retail store associate at my town’s local hardware store and I’m just not sure I have the requirements to do so, given my last job was at a fast food restaurant, serving ice cream and counting back change. I would work as a cashier, but they don’t have an application for that right now :/
