The cubic mini needs it's double wall Stainless steel 3inch pipe the 1st wall is outside it fits beautifully the 2and wall folded and welded & is a male to female connection.... its actually female the cubic mini cub or grizz ..If this unique lil stove isn't used with the parts made specifically for it's purpose it's a difficult thing to find where I live. Lol it's definitely not a appliance that lends to easy and simple install or alternatives. Simply put you need the double wall pipe that goes to the stove. And 5 inch insulated flue pipe and cap as its truly the best fit. Believe me I tried everything lol, but never felt comfortable with the way it looked or functioned , nor not finding doublewall SSteel pipe up to and the flue , the rest you can build it all from heat reflectors, wall mount or floor ect. It's a male connection inside best is no angles just straight out. This stove is & was designed & developed for Sailboats for a solid installation and it's a sort of a expensive system but if done correctly not a bump will ever move it lol, as the owner of both a grizz and cub I bit the bullet..I just used the hardware they provided on their site I recommend calling Andrew from cubic mini he sold me only what I needed.They also provide the best customer service I have seen! but the shipping is a bit slow. A amazing stove you have ..a great view!, & ohhh The cub install is this way as It's used in it in -40 f or -40 c & it works amazing for my 120sqf mini Cabin also back up supplemented with wall mount propane heater and electricity by generator if or when needed. A Awesome job & content Cheers from Sask Canada. ✌🙂

Exactly right, there's a misrepresentation here that Cubic is at fault when clearly it's to do with the nonstandard-aftermarket pipe.

@@stevecam724 Not trying to misrepresent at all. This video is for customers needing to use standard 3" pipe as opposed to Cubic Mini's custom black pipe with an inner/outer wall. Most wood stoves have a female flange as opposed to a male flange and it's important to have male ends facing down to keep moisture and creosote contained within the flue system.

Agreed just use the pipes that are made for the stove !!! 😁😁👍

I've never heard of an issue around the cubic flue system oozing creosote. Your method could create smoke coming out the joints. You would have to add high temp silicone. Better to keep it standard issue.

A wood stove creates a negative pressure so air/smoke is pulled into the pipe joints and shouldn't leak out (unless you have a draft issue). You can read more about Cubic flue systems in the article below on our website: www.tinywoodstove.com/cubic-mini-flue-systems/

Thanks for this. Had same issue.

Sorry but you're trying to fit the pipe upside-down, the crimped end goes up away from the Cubic 😆😆 BTW, the pipe fits perfectly on our stove, just saying.

It’s best practice to have all female joints on single-wall stove pipe facing up - including the appliance connection. This keeps any potential moisture / creosote inside the pipe & stove and not seeping out the joints. You can install crimped end up just be ready for a mess if/when you have any seepage. We now have an adapter that correctly connects 3” stove pipe to the cubic flange. www.tinywoodstove.com/product/cubic-mini-adapter/

@@tinywoodstove Wrong. I never had creosote seeping in 20 years of male end going out. Stop being sooooo stupid.
@BM-kt5cb3 жыл бұрын
Can't you just use the other end of the pipe?
@tinywoodstove2 жыл бұрын
Yes, but it if you have any creosote oozing inside your chimney it will likely seep out the joint making a stinky mess. It’s best practice with stove pipe to keep all female joints facing up.

It's the only downside to their stoves. Cannot believe that they haven't changed this.

Interesting from a technical view.

Can I use a L in the flew I have a broken front passenger window I was thinking of putting plywood then wood stove

Cubic Mini highly discourages any 90º bends or wall exits in their flue designs so I would not recommend trying to go out a bus window with this stove. The smaller stove and 3" pipe won't function properly with a flue design as you described. Our Dwarf 3kW stove can handle a wall exit but I do not recommend it with a Cubic stove and Cubic Mini does not recommend this for their stove either.
