Simple RGB strip mod - One RGB Strip 2 Different Colors

So I just got rgb strips and my strips are two different colors Everytime I try them out. I was wondering if u could help me.

That sound like they are just broken, you can try to to redo the connections between the two different colors but that's all the advise I can give.

I was messing with my control one day and out of nowhere my led lights just split into two different colors, I guess it’s cool but I kinda miss when it was just one color

What other color combinations are possible? Would blue and purple be possible by cutting the Red connection (which i realize would be difficult)?

So I’m wanting to do a red/ purple set up myself... if I want it to permanently be that way can I skip the button and just cut the blue strip at the 1/2 way point??? Would I need to hot glue over the cut so it was safe?

You can just cut it, maybe put some tape overtop but that's all. There is not nearly enough current going to there to be of harm.

Cubie I am just SO confused about how I want to set up my LED behind my shelves (backdrop in my videos) I have cubbies behind me and I haven’t got a clue how to run the Leds through em, I was going to just tape em to the back and bounce the glow off the wall, but idk

I got my leds yesterday a d they worked perfectly until I put them up about 20 mins ago. Where it starts to curve on my wall 3 bulbs are a different color but when its blue or some purples its the same. Idk what to do can anyone help me?

It’s probably because of heat is it next to a radiator ? Bec if it is then u need to put it somewhere else or it can be because you connected another led strip to that

one of my strips have 2 little lights that have a different color. ie when I turn on blue, two lights show pink. how would I fix this?

Same exact thing is happening to me I don’t get it. I literally didn’t even touch it it just happened. Then half turn blue and the other doesn’t. The only colors that fully work right now all throughout is red and green. Any thing else is half one color half another

@@AB-xo4zj yes Govee sent me a new pair. But first they had me reset the lights to see if that worked (it didn’t work for me) but it you ever want to try resetting them just hold down the power button then press the middle button 4 times. Do it on the control pad not the remote. If that doesn’t work, you can contact Govee through the app & send them a video of the problem you’re having with your lights. Go to the app, click on the settings button on the very top right hand side and click either “rapid replacement or report an issue” they’ll get back to you. Hope this was helpful.

Hey I got my led lights a month ago and now I am facing a problem where some parts of my led light is either not working or different colours... I don't know how to fix it some people said that it is because I keep them on for a long time IDK what to do please help me out (edit) the reason why it's happening is... it's a voltage problem... You have to either buy a new led light or a new voltage thingy, you can also fix the problem but I dunno how to

Blue and red is not possible as far as I'm aware as both colors have a dedicated led light. Only when you're mixing the light it'll work.

That depends on multiple things. How long are the RGB strips? 3 5M strips will definitely not work What color combo do you want to make? If you cut away blue between strip one and two you won't be able to use blue at al in strip 3. It can be done but it's a whole lot more complicated.

Sound like it's just defective, you can try to redo the connections where the light changes but that's a you can do.

Instead of connecting two separate cables like at 2:29 solder a single cable to the two copper pads. Make sure you're RGB strip is actually broken however. Apparently there are cheap RGB strips that always have multiple colors. Don't quote me on that however, only heard that on the internet.

Can someone please help me and try to explain how do i ge two different colours on each 16m strips it sounds easy bit when both strips ate attach to the connector that it came when I have 32m with the same colour I'd didn't check before laying this all over the wallpaper I did a border with one of the 16m and I spelt home in the middle with the other 16m but seems if both are attached two the same little white connecter box only give me one colour I can mix I download the app how difficult is such a easy thing to do like one strip free the other blue 😂 please has anyone have a solution for me so I don't have to take off the strips to put them in the bin and for me to leave a not happy 😢😂 review with FGRYB.
