Great review bud👍 I've just got my Max5....."what a phone! One of the most powerful phones on the planet, for a budget price. And it has Liquid Cooling, what other phone has that?!!........What's there not to like!

This is a great phone. You won't find better for the price. I hope cubot at least gives this phone updates for the next 2 years. Its screen is probably the best IPS LCD I've seen on a phone. Its comparable to amoled. You are getting basic flagship specs for a low midrange price.

This phone can't be beaten at the price & specs. This coming from somebody that not only has this phone coming, but also the RedMagic 9S Pro coming too. The processor alone, on top of the huge, almost 7" display with 144mhz refresh rate, regardless of it not being OLED is honestly unthinkable. That Chipset is far from a slouch, in fact this phone's direct competitor is the Infinix GT 20 Pro, which has a slightly smaller, but OLED screen, but costs almost double as much & up until this phone's release, was an unheard of deal in itself.

Yes sir. And the Infinix GT 20 Pro is double the cost. You truly cannot beat these specifications for the asking price. At around $180 that's what you would pay for a low end phone. Mid range prices tend to be around $300 and up. For the price you are getting a midrange built phone with a flagship processor, ram, rom and GPU. There are some compromises like panda glass instead of gorilla and a LCD screen but that is a great looking LCD screen on that phone. I have one on its way myself. 👍

never heard of cubot but that device looks really clean and the amount of storage you get is something that I'm looking for

Yes, the storage on this phone is 256GB, I'm not sure if Cabot will release a Max5 with a higher capacity storage.

Thanks for the great breakdown. I will have to add this one to my budget phone recommendations for people in the US because this phone also is one of the only Chinese phones that supports all of T-Mobile's bands, including B71, n71, and n25 - these are generally missing on non-US market phones. I need to wait for someone to confirm that VoLTE is working first though.

This is true. However Android 14 is the latest operating system. At least there are security updates for 2 years. The price is unbeatable for the specifications. Dimensity 8200 is a flagship phone processor.

Hello there, just to say that i own a Cubot Note 20 Pro bought new in 2020 and i can tell you that the Cubot lcd screens in my opinion are very good, very close to amoled and blows away most budget Samsung phones. The colors are brilliant and good seeing the screen off angle

1st time I'm excited and thinking of getting a Cubot, I just hope it works on all carriers, Bummer it doesn't have SD card slot. But I my most favourite features on Chinese phones is native call recorder.

As far as I know, This phone is unlocked and will work with most cellphone service providers. It will not work with Verizon Wireless. I am currently using T-Mobile. Thanks!

Oh no cubot why have you let me down again!! I have owned six repeat purchases of cubot Max 2 model, and I absolutely love it. The reason for the huge repeat purchases, is one reason only,😕 the charger connection rocks eventually, and the solder on the charger board is rubbish. This one is a let down for two reasons.. the main one is that it does not offer electromagnetic wireless charging, then it doesn't have a 3.5 jack headphone socket Guys please be aware unless they have seriously put thoughts into the efficacy and strength of the charger port, please expect this phone to have charging issues, eventually. It really does get very loose especially if you are somebody who plugs in everyday. 😢😮
