Our clock stops at 9/10 pm every day; And we hv to pull up the weights to restart every morning? Is this normal? Shouldn't it work for at least 24 hours? Do we have to manually bring up the weights everyday?

Hello, a one day clock of course only lasts 24 Hours. Are the weight completly rund down? or stop buy something ? for example a cabinet or the floor? What brand is your clock from?

Looks like the clock is approximately 7 ft off the floor. Correct? Do the weights when they are fully to the bottom touch the floor?

Hello BraniganMichael, it is recommend that the clocks hangs about 1,8-2m / 6-7 fee above the floor. Hope this helps you out. Cheers Markus

Hello T. , It has no function. It is so we can visuell see faster If it is a small or large pipe bellow. Usually the 8 day ones have that, but it also depends on the manufactor. Cheers Markus

Hello Logan, try to do the same steps as in the video, only than of course backwards. Very important is to secure the chain with a wire, so it does not fall into the clock. Hopes this helps you out ;)

This video is good and informative, but unfortunately it does not solve my problem. My cuckoo clock periodically stops working, namely the pendulum works, but when it reaches 12 o'clock, the hands of the clock stop and the pendulum continues to move, and the cuckoo does not fly away.

He never winded the clock. How is it working? He just hung up those weights and that’s it. I hung up my weights and nothing is happening.

No winding was needed in the video ;). You follow the video give the pendelum a swing, an then afer about the first hour, so will see the weights droping. Those you then can pull up with the chain next to them. Cheers Markus
