By watching your videos about these POs, i always get reminded instantly that these are indeed real instruments that you have to learn. I´m totally stunned everytime how effortlessly you make it look to get a good track out of it. It´s an art.

Finally, a tiny lo-fi sampler! I'd like to see Teenage Engineering build a little sampler in a form-factor slightly larger than the Pocket Operators, with MIDI support and such things. I'd buy a little desktop module that evoked the soul of AKAI and EMU's great lo-fi samplers of old.

Volca sample or sp 404 bro. but i admit neither is perfect
@drumatic6 жыл бұрын
I've asked them repeatedly to do just that... to no avail. They are unresponsive on IG and TWITTER... even e-mails don't warrant a reply from their reps. If they could take the chips from their best PO's and build a small desktop sampling drum machine, it'd be game over. With MIDI you could control using any pads you'd like. They could call it the SP-1 ?
@alliefdxproductionservices58566 жыл бұрын
Yeah. I understand the philosophy they're going for, but for those of us with slightly more integrated studios it'd be nice to see some stuff with a touch more... integration.

Im going to go out there and say it, as much as I like the pocket operators, this sampler is not really that cheap! I'm not saying they are expensive, but a Korg Volca Sample seems a much more robust bit of gear, I like the xox style programming too and 8mb RAM and MIDI sync. It also comes with a case, you don't have to buy it seperately! The thing I like about this P.O is the chromatic sampling, inbuilt mic with fast inspired workflow featuring autoslicing! I am considering buying the P.O-33 and syncing it to the Korg via the sync cable (with Korg under DAW MIDI master control).

I only just got this but it's bloody damaged in transit. I can just about play about with it. I quickly learned one trick, at the start when you record. If you copy it over to drums it will split according to time. Instead of recording straight to the drum section where it does automatic split.

I purchased a PO-33 about 7 months ago. But a few days ago, for no apparent reason, it stopped turning on. I found him with a completely dead screen and couldn't resuscitate him. I did everything that is written on the manufacturer's website, but it did not give any results. I began to study this issue and it turned out that this is a common problem faced by po owners, it just stops turning on for no apparent reason. As far as I understand there is some error in the design or program. I wrote to the support service of teenage engineering, to which they replied to me that they could not replace my tool and could not repair it. They sent me a list of components so that I could order them and repair them myself. This is strange. Because absolutely nothing happened to PO, it just lay idle for a few days, and stopped working. If even the specialists of teenage engineering can't fix this flaw (judging by how often PO owners face this problem), why do they offer to fix it for me on their own? Then they stopped replying to my messages. I was very disappointed. I paid $ 90 for a piece that didn't even work for half a year. I was refused replacement, technical support, and no response at all. And the output sound of this thing is really shitty.
