I know over in China it's a Breeding Center so it's not the same as our zoos that have Pandas but what I find interesting is that in China the handlers/researchers seem to handle and be much more involved with the Panda cubs than over here. The zoo personnel seem to leave the cubs alone mostly except when they weigh them and do a physical checkup.

+L Broderick I think it's to keep the pandas from becoming too domesticated. They become very large, and could potentially do a lot of harm to a human. They rarely attack, but it has been known to happen. Regardless of their cuteness, they are bears - not stuffed toys.

SagittarianMe I agree and understand. What I don't understand is why the Chinese are much more involved with the Pandas over there. They are much more hands-on with the Pandas compared to us.

+L Broderick Seems in China they are more Humane to me America more focus on making $$$$ Overall Cut corners at the branches of Tree and roots. Yes Pandas are cute and NOT Stuffed toys but they do have a Soul I believe and would remember for how they are treated.

Kim Berlee Francisco I'm not sure that's the reason. I think the staff at the zoos in the U.S. love their pandas, too, and take very good care of them. Our baby pandas do get sent over to China after two years. I'm not sure what happens to them after they go over to China. It could be that China wants to reintroduce some Pandas to the wild and do not want the Pandas to get too close to humans. This is one thought. Or maybe a Breeding Center needs to be more hands-on than at a zoo.

Its a Money making business no doubt about that. Im Sure the Staff love their Pandas. I Find it Sad Humans need to step in to try and help safe them as it was Humans that put them in the state they are in :( and Now they are being used as cash makers Seems All the cash that is put into them to be kept and care for could be put into saving their real habit invest the Money there instead of in the Zoo and breeding centers. where they sell these Baby Pandas for 1 Million or more Per Baby

thats only because its rare to encounter one in the wild seeing as how they're endangered they have more than enough power to kill you, although im pretty sure these are use to people and they dont see us ass food people have been hurt pretty bad just playing with them its just good to keep in mind they're still wild animals
