I have a million questions but let me say this. I will be vacationing right there in a few months and bringing my 19 foot jet boat. I have been studying charts like crazy and read how hard it is to boat the keys. How hard is it to get to safe waters from venture out port? Did u ever hit bottom? Do you have any plots to send me? Or show me your routes? Please help if u can

Thanks, It is a little tricky around there. I was in my 18 foot G3 with a 90 Yamaha and found while it was fun and we went out every day it was too small to go any great distance. The waves are pretty big for the most of the time. Just use Navionics on your phone and it'll show you everything you need to know. I never hit bottom at all though

Like you I'm here learning. I'll be in Venture Out next month. How was your trip? I've made about hundred waypoints as I want to get into the back country.

@Adam Richardson we had a great time. Made it to American shoals light house. Awesome huge waves. I might have been the only one having fun jumping them LOl. Next day went the other direction. Under bridge and it was super calm . I would do it again in a heart beat.
