Ours just died after serving us almost 5 years on a daily basis. It's worth it and does take time initially to master the settings for what you're using it for. Thankfully it happened as it's on sale at Target for Black Friday and just picked it up to use for Thanksgiving tomorrow!

We love how it works when it works. The original one I bought worked great for about a year and then the door switch failed. I contacted cuisinart and they sent me a replacement since it was within the warranty period. Got my brand new replacement a little over one year ago and on this one the function switch has failed. Although the replacement would have been within the two year warranty they only back the replacement to the end of your original warranty period. So the function switch can be replaced but it’s VERY difficult to get to it and does require soldering! I will not buy another one!

Been using this same model for 6 months. I bought this item for its versatility and convenience. My experience is that items burn and are not done inside when using the Bake setting. I have tried adjusting the temperature setting and the length of time. The Air Fryer and Toaster settings work alright. This is not a cheap appliance and I am very disappointed in the performance. I have gone back to my regular oven for baking.
@T2MARA2 жыл бұрын
Yep. Same here. It has managed to overcook everything when I use it on the recommended settings. I just tried to air fry some frozen wings and I started on 400 for 10 minutes and it burned one side. So I turned it over and did it another 8 minutes at 375 and it burned the other side. And it still managed to be too mushy on the inside. Sheesh I don't have money to be wasting food like this.

I just got this Air Fryer Toaster Oven. On first use, I noticed the top 2 center elements never lit up , only the 1st and 4th elements. I even tested all the functions like Boil, toast, bake, etc. None of them lit up the 2 center elements. I thought that was a defeat, so I went back to Target to exchange to another unit. And again, same thing with the new unit I exchanged. Both the 2 center top elements never lit up. So now I am wondering if this is the same case with all you guys who bought this unit? Please let me know. Thanks much!
@fastmoneyflow2 жыл бұрын
Same here, of course the warranty is expired on mine. Also I noticed when she turned the dial for option of air fry you hear clicks. Mine has never done that like the dial is stripped. So its basically stuck on air fry. No wonder the broiler or bake function never really worked because only the element to air fry worked. I can only air fry or use the toaster option since its separate. Expensive piece of junk. When I can afford it I'll be buying another brand.

Does this toaster oven dehydrate? I just bought one exactly like it. On the siteibought it from, it said that it dehydrated but I don't see the function.
@QuackZack2 жыл бұрын
Dehydrating is essentially just low heat + a lot of cook time to gently coax out moisture. Technically all ovens can dehydrate. I might be wary of having an electric oven plugged in so long and turned on, but as long as you're around to smell burning, you should be fine.

OK, I'm done with this thing. A couple months ago I started using is just as a baking oven. I set it a 350 (normal oven temp) and put it on the bake setting. The other functions it claims to do, do not work. Tonight I put 2 brats in it at 350 10 minutes went by and my fire alarm went off. I went to the kitchen and smoke was just pouring out of the exhaust in the back. I mean it was heavy. I unplugged it and when it was cooled off I looked at the top on the inside. It was just covered with crap, grease whatever. There is no way to clean above the heating elements unless you have the smallest hands in the world. This scared the crap out of me. That fan area and above get caked with burnt on grease... and whatever. And you can't clean it. I paid 200 dollars for mine from Jax outdoor gear. If anyone reading this sees one of these on a store shelf please tell an employee about this experience. Thanks! It will be thrown in the trash tomorrow.

We bought one of these last year as an early Christmas present... well here we are coming up on 1 year... during the year we used it on regular basis 4 to 5 times a week... air frying was awesome...toasting was great... we used it last night to do potato wedges...anyway got up this morning we were going to have toast and our great toaster over is not functioning... could not change the setting it is stuck on oven and the the interior light didn't work..in fact the toaster oven is dead ...basically a boat anchor I have to say we are extremely disappointed... the bucks we paid and only getting a year out of it... will not buy this product again.... sure it has a warranty ... but still it will be out of use for I don't know how long...IMHO it's an over priced item that has let us down... one would think it would at least get you by the 3 year limited warranty... good thing we didn't dispose our old toaster oven which is now 10 years old and still working great...new stuff not so great...my opinion...

Thanks for the review! Although really bad cooking habits :) Wash your meat before you cook :) Season your food before you put it on a tray :) Cut the wings into pieces (it's easy to know where to make a cut if you wiggle a wing a little to see the joints). Discard the tips - they'll give you more unnecessary fat to burn in the drip tray. Alternatively you can use them to make a decent broth. I think I'll buy this model, because of it's size. We have small kitchen and most of the good fryers are at least half a meter wide. Thanks again!

I hope over the years you've learned how to use the basket with the baking tray. You're making more mess and unnecessary work for yourself pulling out a basket of dripping chicken over your ovens' door when it should be (as shown in the manual) to use the basket sitting on the tray. If you aren't using it as it should be, maybe watch some tutorials on KZbin

They don't recommend that anymore - if there is salmonella, you spread WAAAAAAY more of it with the splashing of water and multiple surfaces getting in contact. Cross contamination is far more likely with washing, and cooking properly should kill it. You can pat it dry with a paper towel if you want, but that's about all they recommend these days.
