I respectfully disagree. Before Lawrence Taylor, and Frnco Harris, the pass rusher was hardly ever spoken of. Olivia Vernon actually hold the record for stopping the rush, and offensive play calling has gotten dramatically better than it was before Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. Those two were playing on such a new level that it sent everyone looking for a better defense! As long as the details of the game are expanding to include a west coast offense and seven way to veer, then the records are relevant! Why? Because it's harder to find great offensive linemen than it's ever, and that's why we have scrambling quarterbacks! Which would make your point valid, if a lot of quarterback got a thousand yards rushing every year, but as of yet, only a couple can do that.

As a Vikes fan, one thing that makes me nervous is the O-line/Sam situation. Sam can get bogged down in holding the ball too long. None of these amazing receivers mean anything if the O-line can't buy him time. If they play like they did against the Pack, ok. But the same lineup has had some major issues keeping the pocket open. Or Sam starts getting rid of the ball quickly a la Mahomes and Goff, but I don't see that happening. But then again I'm always nervous when my left tackle is anything less than a castle wall.

@delusionalvikingsfan18 Idk about "light years", but yes, I agree. If the O-line plays like they did last Sunday, I'm not as worried. But A.) They've been pretty inconsistant this season, and B.) I'm not just thinking about Detroit. I think in that particular game, if we lose it's more likely to be because we got out-passed/scored than offensively shut down. But into the playoffs, a replica of the O-line performance against Arizona, against say the Eagles? Ouch.

I know people think the Analyst have all the right perspectives, but when speaking on the LIONS not resting our starters during the 49ers game they forgot about a true fact. The LIONS had to make sure we won against the 49ers to have the same record as the Vikings so in the event that the game ends in a TIE the Lions would get the first seed because we have the tie breaker

I'm a fan of the team, the players come and go. He's just the guy wearing that jersey this season. That being said, since clearly you don’t care about the individual players as you previously stated since you root for the “team”. Tell me why then should players care about what you want as a fan? Have you considered that personal accolades and achievements hold sentimental value to not only a player but quite possibly his future lineage? Have you considered the personal contractual incentives players can hit when they’re given the opportunity to beat records? How about more opportunities for sponsorships, for greater influence to do good things for communities? There are other things that far outweigh SB wins. We’re taking about legacy that can have a real tangible impact on other people’s lives.

Hold up on Barkley. Good stats, for sure. But if you actually take a deep dive, I'm not that impressed. He compiled a majority of the numbers against the Saints, Jags, Panthers, Commanders, Dallas in one of their games and he had one monster game against the Rams. Do you suffer from altitude sickness like Ryan Clark!? He are a few places to avoid! Santa fe New Mexico is almost two thousand feet higher than Denver! Flagstaff Arizona in another southwestern city, you should stay clear of. You can still do Vegas, but try to excuse yourself if your friends are headed to Virginia City Nevada or Lake Tahoe Nevada. Salt Lake is fine, Park City Utah is not! Glenwood springs, Breckenridge, Steamboat Springs are also off the list. Don't try it! Boise is fine, but stay off the mountains, or you're back in trouble.
