I also had a flood, on New Year's Eve, only mine was about a foot of water in the basement! My, fairly new, sump pump quit working so I had to buy a new one. The furnace and the hot water heater also quit working because of the flood. Luckily, we were able to get the furnace going again, unfortunately the hot water heater is still not working and I am waiting on someone to come check it out tomorrow. My basement is only a partial basement that basically just holds the furnace and hot water heater. I rarely go down there but I heard water and had to check it out. Yay to the new year! lol

Your flood is from the pump or dehumidifier it might be plugged. You should run your dehumidifier year around that's to protect your basement & foundation from the humidity and prevents mold in your house. The home inspectors stressed it to us when we moved to the mid-west. Hope that helps. Love you guys been watching your for 6 years!

I live in a rental (old house) and we've had issues multiple times with the same exact condensate pump. The first time mine was old and the pump stopped working, so our basement flooded. The 2nd time the tube connecting up to the heater was broken which also caused leaking. Took us forever to actually figure out what was causing the flooding though! Hope you guys can get it fixed quickly!!

Those flowers are a type of camilla. They are very common in south. They typically bloom in December. I cut tons yesterday and made arrangements. Now my house doesn’t look so bare after taking Christmas decorations down.

Happy New Year! My daughter just called me and they live in a basement apartment and the apartment above them a pipe burst and it flooded by the washer and dryer...luckily nothing ruined to my daughter's stuff but a few of her paintings. Thank God, because she just got married and most of their stuff is in boxes on the other side of the washer.
