FINALLY got my husband to take the love language quiz. I took mine about a year ago just to see, but we never talked about it. It made so much sense! He's always praising me and telling me how amazing of a mom and wife I am or when I do a good job. It's because his love language is words of affirmations, which I've been horrible at. Mine is physical touch so I always showed I loved him by hugging or kissing him randomly. We've already made adjustments and I'm excited to strengthen our marriage even more. Thank you for your encouraging talks!

NO marriage is full of bliss and a lush bed of roses no matter what love language, therapy etc. that a couple does .If one tells you this they are lying ! It's hard as hell as Cullen stated and has to be constantly tended too . Especially when both partners are equally headstrong . Always a work in progress !!

Marriage takes work. My husband and I just had our 20 year anniversary and we have some issues that you have said in the vlogs. I am a touchy kind of gal and he is not. I tell him all the time that he talks better to the pets than me. We have the conversation all the time that "why dont you listen to me" " you have selective hearing" BUT we love each other, he is my best friend as I am his, never ever NOT talk.....silence only makes it worse. In the beginning I would not talk and he would be silent. Each on of us waiting for the other to apologize, We still argue like anyone else, but I also know what the good Lord wants...to love each other as he love us. I wouldn't want anyone to treat him badly and he would want the same for me. This is the second marriage for us both and have learned from our mistakes. Divorce isn't in the picture, ever.....our 18 yr. old looks at us as we argue and then we laugh it out....she thinks we are weird! LOL I love you both and will continue to pray for you........hugs from Texas

In all honesty, with marriage, the struggle and work doesn't ever end. You start fresh every day. My Grannie (married for 55 years when my Grandfather died) told me on my wedding day that if we wanted to stay happily married we needed to put God first and pray together, we each needed to be determined to be peacekeepers and we each needed to be willing to give 110%. She said you'll never both be able to do that, but if you both aim for that, you can pick up the slack when the other one fails. She also told me to not let everything be about our kids all the time and to take some short weekend trips alone, just the two of us. They did this and they had 8 kids 😳. It's hard. We work hard and fight for our marriage. Some days suck, but Grannie was right. She's 98 years old and I love her dearly.

Thank y’all for keeping it real fun us. I’ve been trying too talk with my husband but, it’s hard because he’s not much of a talker. He works hard and needs his space after work. We finally came to an agreement that Monday through Thursday, I leave him alone and the rest of the week we’ll spend quality time together. He gets so frustrated at work because he has had too train so many people that just up and quit because they can’t handle the job. When we married, I told him it was for life, I don’t believe in divorce. The judge who married us said, promise me y’all won’t be back for a divorce 😂 It will be 32 years May 23rd. We’ve had our ups and downs, communication is the thing we have a problem with. I’ve come too realize that I need too let the small stuff go. It’s not worth having an argument over. I’m happy for y’all that y’all are working on things, I totally agree it’s very hard but so worth it in the end. Love ❤️ and hugs 🤗 to y’all from Illinois 🙋🏼

So glad y’all brought up that you’re still working on things... I am enjoying the happy and upbeat vlogs with the good Cullen-style editing, but I had worried you might be pushing things down; so glad you aren’t, and healing will come to y’all because you’re putting in the work. My new fave thing is when Cullen puts his quote on the screen when he says something funny/strange. I always giggle at those! Also, Cullen so hilarious (even if inappropriate) at the end of the vlog. More tongues in mouths; this should help, LOL!

This is definitely your platform in using your channel for helping other families who struggles with the same issues in life. I've watched a few other vlogs and found myself asking, why would you choose to use a perfect opportunity in helping others through your success. Thank you Cullen and Katie for using this opportunity through U-tube to show the real struggles of life and sharing your story for others who to may struggle. I can only imagine how many people who have been watching your vlogs lately and have come to the conclusion that their not alone in what they are going through.

Sometimes you have to decide if what you are angry about is really worth arguing about. Is it really worth it?? That is what I had to do. I was frustrating MYSELF because I realized it was ME...I had to decide for MYSELF to not get frustrated over little ,stupid things that are all meaningless in the end. Keep working on it and remember: COMMUNICATION is the key!!!! 💖💕💖💓💖

I have been married for almost 18 years. There are days I look at my husband and think why are we still together. We have 2 boys that are the center for us and sometimes that is why we are together and other days why I don’t want to be together. But we always I mean always just talk before we go to sleep. We lay in bed and talk about the day the good parts and the bad parts. My husband has this bad habit of walking away while I am talking to him and he always says but I’m listening. If he was I would have my dream car about 50 pairs of huge diamond earrings and so much more. But when I started the I don’t care if your made we are going to talk after we lay down but before we sleep true talk so many things changed. We don’t allow day to get away without connecting even if we are not happy with each other and we do go to bed mad at each other we talk we may still be mad but we have made sure the other person knows what the issue is and we go to sleep holding hands even if we are mad. That has made a big difference for us and the fact we made a promise to each other and we both refuse to break the promise. I don’t always love my husband some days we are just friends and some days we are just parents to our boys but I won’t give up on us and neither will he. I hope you get over the bump in your road together because I think you finish each other in such a great way

We all have struggles and argue at different timesabout different stuff. You guys, you are normal. Yes, it is does suck at times, but you kiss and make up. As long as you never go to bed without apologizing and saying you are sorry. My Mom said you never go to bed angry. It doesn't help your marriage to let things fester. I think she was right. Hang in there, it will level out.
