Students from Cullompton Community College had a night to remember as they celebrated their prom at Woodbury Park on Tuesday, June 27.
The year eleven pupils arrived in style, with some of them riding in a big lorry and a tractor, to mark the end of their school years and exams.
Andrew Davidson, head of year eleven, praised the students for their efforts and resilience in the face of the challenges posed by Covid-19 and teacher strikes.
He said: "The efforts of our former year group here tonight have been outstanding. I thought I’d seen it all, until the big lorry comes along and a big tractor drops off those attending tonight topped it off.
"It’s an important event, they’ve had a hell of a few years, affected by Covid-19 and teacher strikes, so this is a fantastic way to celebrate the end of a tough few years and the end of their exams as well.
“Everyone is looking fantastic, and it’s nice to see everyone looking so smart for a change.”
The students enjoyed a night of dancing, music and fun at the Woodbury Park venue, which was decorated with balloons and lights.
The prom was organised by a committee of students and staff, who worked hard to make the night a success.
