I say it before and I say it again. That fox will not get Ratau or my followers. Sacrifices only occur on the request of the followers themselves. Since I can revive them, it's not so bad! Something funny happened on my last run through though. Early on, my fox follower, Len, asked me to sacrifice him. So I did. Later on, Eligos wanted Len to be back. I liked the idea since he wasn't in the cult long. Len got to max loyalty level... Where he once again asked me to sacrifice him! I was like Len, don't you want to live?!

Fun fact: There’s a currently unused follower trait called “Ex-Cult Leader”, which allows that follower to increase another follower’s loyalty once per day. So it’s entirely possible we might get to save Ratau from the fox and have him as a follower someday. Or it could be scrapped content, who knows?

One dark eavning I was on a crusade... I met Rato agean however this time I had a very special follower... He asked to take her not knowing and out of pure kindness I excepted his request for my follower but the second I saw the non empty ribcage I saw red because I lost my heart. So 2 years later I sacrificed ratu I finally got my revenge because when rato finally feels what I did we will both never be whole

His friends will appear in the second instances of the dungeons (after beating Narinder), but theyll appear if you didnt kill him too. Their dialogue doesnt change, but the wording will still make you feel guilty if you did offer him up

As a tip, if you want a 100% save file, but not want to truly get rid if him, copy your save to an empty slot, and sacrifice him on the copy of your choosing. I didn't know this the first time, and i just sacrificed him out of the desire to get all the follower forms, and particularly, the wolf.

Look for the glowing green symbol in all of the different areas of the map at night. I didn’t come across him at all again for like 100+ days because I rarely went anywhere besides the fishing area. The symbol will be tucked away in the corners, so it might take a while to find it, but it should pop up each night, somewhere.
