Cult of the Lamb review, what you NEED TO KNOW before buying this game (minimal spoilers)

I absolutely loved this game, especially after i figured out you can turn the time off when you go on dungeon runs it literally made the game soooo much more enjoyable for me cuz i didn't have ti worry about coming back to low or no faith,or dissenting/starving followers so i was able to go on as many dungeon runs as i wanted for as long as i wanted lol so most of my time was spent doing dungeon runs (which was the best part of the game for me) 😆

I beat the game today on hard, i only died a total of 4 times, and 3 of those times were to the boss of the third area, which is the hardest thing in the game by far imo. boss 4 and last boss were piss easy, beat them both on my first try taking ~3 hits on each of them. My entire playthrough took 17 hours, Hades was better.

@Travis Smith game takes 12-20 hours to beat with normal play. If you just rush dungeons all the time you could prob beat it in like 7 hrs

it was really good. they definitely targeted normies like me with that art style i wouldn't touch rougelike in general, but this game does everything in such quirky way, it's lot more fun for me. it reminded me of kena: bridge of spirits. i wouldn't normally play souls type game but kena had that pixer like art style that i found really adorable. good art style always attract newer players who don't care about genres. and this game definitely had that in mind while designing.

I like roguelikes, and I don't see how you can spend more time crusading than city-building. For me cult management was, like, 80% of the game with crusades being a sort of a mini-game to get more bones. At least for the first several hours

By turning off time on your runs that's how,made the game so much more enjoyable for me because then I didn't have to worry about coming back to dissenting, starving followers and was able to do as much dungeon runs as I wanted 😁

i would call this less a rougelike game, but a management game with some rougelike elements, spent like over 75% of my time managing stuff, the actual crusades were very quick, and i quickly became overpowered due to quickly getting the combat perks due to my time doing management

To me these modern "roguelikes" seem to resemble Legend of Zelda a lot more than they resemble "Rogue".
