Dude, I was there too. I was 12 at the time & it was my first wrestling show ever. I remember we sat on the second level opposite the wrestlers entryway. My dad had made me a homemade Sycho Sid t-shirt that read "Master & Ruler of the World". We show up to the arena in the morning in hopes of seeing some of the wrestlers arrive. When Sid saw me & my shirt, he told my dad, "You raised your boy right". 😂

So I was at MSG in 96 and in 08. We definitely were booing Rey the whole match. I was actually surprised by that. But when it came to Sid vs HBK i honestly thought the roof was going to come off once Sid won the title. The crowd was 80% Sid and 20% Shawn. It was mainly women and teenage girls cheering Shawn. It was nuts. 😂

The thing that argubly could've made the match between flair and Rousey better (with the benefit of hindsight), was having Asuka be the person who replaces Lynch in that match. If you recall, when Lynch was in kayfabe picking the person to face Ronda, the audience can be heard chanting for Asuka, but when Flair got picked instead, they booed like crazy.

I remember that Hogan vs. Rock match. It's hard to describe, but he was only Hollywood for the first part, once Rock started winning he beat the Hollywood out of him, and he was attacking our childhood hero who had FINALLY returned to Wrestlemania (no pun intended), and Hogan just wouldn't quit, and that's the Hogan we all grew up with, from them on it was his night. They played it well.

I’m honestly surprised that Lesnar vs Goldberg from WrestleMania XX wasn’t on this list. Eugene suffered the same problem of his opponent being cheered in Summerslam 2005 when the fans openly cheered Kurt Angle when he faced Eugene and were happy that Angle won and got his gold medals back which the Coach who was doing commentary noted and complimented the fans for cheering on Angle. I too rooted for Angle despite his heel behavior as he earned those medals but Eugene hadn't plus I respected Angle's great work as a wrestler and dedication to WWE.
