This is why I so love music that pushes out beyond the predetermined borders of "acceptable" themes in a particular genre. Music is about bringing the inner world into manifestation, about creating a bridge between the spiritual and the mundane and Cult of Fire does just this; they use the medium of music to bring forth a ritualistic environment in honor of the source of imagination. In this scenario, the themes and imagery of Hinduism are used to create such an environment. No matter what form it takes, music and ritual are a projection of one great and infinite source of potential: the Great Spirit. So before you judge any art form so naively on the basis of some narrow minded view of what a genre "should" consist of, pay some respect to the human imagination and to the human potential to create something unique.

Hindic cults are pretty much acceptable in black metal without pushing it to much. Abrahamic cults are not so, so Batushkas do push it... to the domain of amputee circus.

Ekvivalent Kálí in Slavic Pantheon: As similar "-) Morana is the patroness of the period when we should mentally let go of everything old and unnecessary. Let go of what no longer works in your life. Morana, the goddess of death, is then the one who circles around us with a sharpened scythe. One that is capable of killing to make room for newly arrived life. Sometimes she is depicted as an old, ugly hag, other times as a beautiful, seductive woman with alabaster skin, dressed from head to toe in black. Sometimes half and half. This is to remind us that life and death are only two sides of the same coin. And that death is necessary for new life to be born.

why some not like this dramatic performance i appreciate; it's like reading, understanding literature or poetry, you must know about the author, and the subject of the story, know the struggle of k.a.l.i in order to understand, appreciate the symbolism visually and the mood, the feeling that art. Without knowing k.a.l.i, anyone wouldn't appreciate the great performance. Kali at war is like surrounding the enemy with hell itself before pushing them where they belong into fire. Kali...at war. K
