This was so informative. The recycling, cleanliness, safety and affordable healthcare in Taiwan are things I'm looking forward to 😌

Speaking of customer service, the wait time is much longer when you call customer service in the U.S than in Taiwan. When I called my bank in the U.S., the average wait time is typically about 15 to 30 minutes. This is never tolerable in Taiwan.

Yay! Another video! Thank you for the content as always! For me, the safety factor alone trumps everything. It’s so emotionally exhausting waking up every morning to news of another mass shooting or hate crime 😩😩. Can you do a video about how your daily life has changed with the uptick of COVID cases in Taiwan? I’m curious about if you guys are still teaching in person, going digital, or hybrid.

Thank you for always tuning in! & yess I can't believe I forgot to mention mass shootings and gun violence. That's not even a thing here! & sure I'll see what I can come up with. We've just been at home though doing school is virtual right now.

I have been living here for 5 weeks now.everything Yasmeen said is very very true. Taiwan is much much better. but then again they don't have that US population and they are homogeneous, they don't have to deal with many different people. they take recycling a million times more higher than US. you recycle almost everything. super safe. and no one treats you different, or special as an African. they barely even notice me lol. there is no public trash can, so you reduce waste. and you can walk and bike anywhere, they have designated road for that. I got out at any time alone. I do not have NHI now, so I bought drugs and visited the hospital many times, and girl for the amount of drugs and full body check, multiple test and I have not paid up to $200. I am beyond surprised. now I wonder what it will be when my national health insurance starts.

Hi Nnenia! Californian here working on my TEFL certification with the goal of teaching in Taiwan, so your videos have been most insightful! :) I’m curious about your last point made - are most of the people taking pictures of you of a younger generation or older? Or is it across all generations? I would be surprised to learn that the youth are doing that considering how open minded they seem to be! But like you said, they might not see that as rude or invasive in their culture.

Hi Billy, glad the videos have been helpful! I’d say it’s across the board almost.. elders, older adults and children seem the most shocked. Lol but people my age 20-30s are a lot more open minded and love to befriend foreigners.

A lot of things not covered but that's ok cause no one wants to watch a 12 hour video lol. One thing I'm thankful for that you didn't directly cover is the lack of an intense gun culture in Taiwan. There are zero mass shootings here and almost no crimes involving firearms. It's a blessing to not have to worry about that.

I know 😩 the video was already so long but I think I will make a part 2. There’s a lot more that could’ve been covered. That’s a great point you made too! Honestly didn’t think of guns when I mentioned safety but it’s a huge one.
