Giving an example of the phone to explain the relationship between culture and society is a brilliant idea. Thanks a lot sir . From Morocco 🇲🇦

If Society is the hardware, Culture the apps, what part of the phone would you say its Education?
@ggedney14 жыл бұрын
Culture for sure. Paying school fees, going to class, following the conduct code, and receiving your grades and diploma: Society.

Heeeelp..Which is the most influential among the two? and why? please do answer my question..
@emmyetyet36465 жыл бұрын
I think Culture would be the more influential party between the two because culture is what binds a society together. A society can be any group that shares common culture/s. Therefore, whatever changes in a culture affects the society. I think it depends on the angle you're going to view the situation from. For example, a society of cat-loving individuals. You consider them a society based on their common love for cats. However, if you view them based on their hometown, that society may be regrouped to new sub-groups.

I agree with Emm, culture. Society is not really animate enough to influence us except through fear. Acting upon the fear is culture, but society is reinforcement for culture; like police officers to enforce legislation. I think you could see that the way someone views police officers and the behaviors that police officers tolerate from one another are cultural, but that police officers and the public represent society. Police departments and society are simply names for organizations and do not represent any sort of consciousness. The organizations exist however, because cultural expectations are organized to concentrate a perceived need for execution.

hey , as you consider Culture as Apps and Society as a Phone . As a phone can't exist without apps , thus society can't exist without culture , but won't it contradict what Krober had said ( he said that society can exist without culture but culture alone can't survive without society ) can someone clear my doubt ?
@ggedney14 жыл бұрын
That is wrong, there is no reason for society without culture. A society that attempts to erase culture must replace it with its own. I think he was trying to say that a phone without apps would not be working phone. The dialer and text messaging are system apps on a smartphone, but this model would be much different with a non-smartphone or landline.
