I was there at that Solid Gold taping in 86! I was on a school field trip to see Solid Gold and they announced that there was a delay because Culture Club was taking a long time. I burst into tears and had a meltdown. My favorite group was there and I was missing them! But a kind usher saw how distraught I was and he snuck me and my best friend in. I came through the door as they were filming this song. I started screaming and crying! The usher told me to shut up or I’d get him in trouble. My best friend sat me down in the back and I calmed down. During a break, Jon and Mikey waved back at me. When they finished George walked down the steps right past me. I stood up and called his name: “George!! I love you SO much!” He turned around and waved at me and I collapsed. LOL.😂❤❤❤

This is one of the demos that I miss on the 4-cd boxset... They had a lot of songs that weren't even by Culture Club, but by George alone. I didn't know they'd sung it on Solid Gold. It perhaps shows that the song was considered to be a potential single in the USA... I remember hating it when I first bought the album, but then it grew on me and became one of my favourite tracks.
