For that nice roundness you need the water bottle, coffee cup or just holding in place method. Steam is essential if you want to keep the rigidity after it’s curved. Otherwise the brim gets soft.

just a tip, use steam from boiling tea kettle is you dont have aa steamer, works perfect

Yesss steam the brim then use a standard size coffee mug, i find it gives a deep curve that u can fix out to your liking and the curves staysss longer than any method

I was gonna suggest you to use the curving and on your last vid. I saw the teaser at the end so I didn't, but glad you gave it a shot. I like using it but I leave the band on for days at a time. 3 or 4 n the curve stays alot better. Obviously that's too long to leave it on but I don't wear my hats right away. I curve them for a few days with the band before I throw it on.

Best method is a steamer with a coffee mug. If you want that deep curve it’s the best way to go!

Is there a way to fix a slopped hat? For example the second hat has more of a slope on one side, compared to the other. I have a hat that’s like that and was wondering if it’s fixable

Yeah flatten it out as much as possible then use steam and hand curve it to however you want

new to the channel but i wanted to ask how much more better is the streamer your using now compared to the last one you had which was the black one and also what difference does the water make on it, is for the streamers sake as in helping it not build buildup or wasup cause if there’s a difference i’ll make a switch to bottled water as well? please and thank you! great informational videos as well keep it up!

The blue/white steamer holds more water, the steam is hotter and it’s built better. Only drawback is it’s a lot bigger. The black one was very lightweight and small good for traveling but not built to last. I recommend using bottled water because the water quality is different everywhere and I don’t know who’s watching. I’m in New York using tap water on my lighter hats lead to build up in the steamer and also yellowish spots on hats/clothing at times. So I stick to bottled water and clean the steamer occasionally. Someone in Cali might have the same problem. Someone in Alaska might be able to get away with tap water who knows but better safe than sorry.

Use a rubber band it will hold the curve

Flatten it out, as flat as you can get it and let it set then restart the process with something that actually works. Like the water bottle method or the rubber band method

The reason it did that Smalls from Sandlot hat look is you put it back and putting pressure at the corners, I did the same thing first try. 🤦‍♂️ Probably might try it again but not have it set so far back, if I still can't get it to my liking I'll just stick to curving with my hands setting the hat on my upper thigh.

It'll make it fit more loose, but you can always add stuff to it to make it fit perfect. Look up videos on how to make a hat smaller using the paper method

I think You’re supposed to put the headband on the underside of the head and snap it on top I think you had the hat band upside down that’s why I didn’t work that well. All the other videos I saw they had it underneath.
