Around 2005 was visiting with my two young kids and wife. We were ascending a metal spiral staircase in one of the upper floors, with me coming up last. I suddenly noticed what felt like a touch on my right shoulder, this caused me to lose my step and bruise my shin on the edge of one of the metal steps which hurt like hell. I got the distinct sense the Castle enjoyed my pain which caused me to limp around for the next half hour.

Anybody else remember singing in the Kiwanis Festivals? I think thats who they keep referring to in this video, and it sparked that memory for me

Comment from the tour guide: "I just watched this a year later and realized I made an embarrassing error. The Conservatory was not called the Napoleon Drawing Room. It was called the Palm Room. The Oak Room (where the interview began) was the Napoleon Drawing Room. Sorry, folks."

Theres no way the foundation and structure of this castle was put up and built in 3 years with a 800 foot tunnel running to the stables that was built prior to 1911 in Canada with our cold winters and wet springs. How long did it take to build the stables and where did the tunnel lead to before the castle? How come I can't find any photographs of the construction process only the finished product? Was this castle already here left behind by Tartaria? Did Henry build it or did he find it? If he built why did they find a giant stone carved gargoyle buried in the ground, years later and who carved it? I don't think Henry built it, I think he found it. Check out My Lunch Break and be a free thinker it's fuel for thought. The orphan trains of 1854-1929 tie in well with this castle now since today I discovered orphans were there. Didn't Henry have something to do with bringing rail to Toronto.

Yes to all this. They found these and renovated the buildings in the time they claim to have constructed them. There is a courthouse in Woodstock Ontario with tunnels that led to the old Jail that were "discovered" in the 1980s...so if they had built the building, they would have had original blueprints showing secret tunnels. The courthouse has 9 hidden monkeys on it as well. One is climbing a pyramid structure reaching for the top! I found a pic of the city hall (another old world type) building being constructed, and you can see they were renovating it, and the photo has the top just cut off.

agreed.. it took decades to restore, I lived a block away in the 70s. Back then, was closed off, it was known as haunted.

Hmm. I lived a block away from Casa Loma in 70'. I was afraid of it, never went near it, it was known as haunted. This Guide is not accurate, This took decades to restore. Who invented electricity?

Love Casa Loma, but it's not a true castle by any stretch. It's as you described, a gothic-revival mansion. For it to be a proper castle, it'd have to be a fortified structure which it is not.

Love Casa Loma. Not a fan of the restaurant decor, especially in the Oak Room.
