Thanks to Andy Imms for a beautiful farewell to Dave today. This is a lovely tune and I am watching it over and over in remembrance and in thanks for a wonderful musician and teacher.

I had the absolute pleasure of being a student of Dave's for a couple of years. Great guy, great teacher, and great musician. Seeing him play still makes me sad. RIP to an amazing man.

For a while I too was a student of Dave’s. Such a lovely, genuine gent, full of patience and encouragement for those he taught. This particular tune was on our list of tunes for me to learn, sadly work commitments meant I was unable to continue my lessons so I never did get chance to learn it. RIP Dave.

This sort of unpretentious, straight out beautiful banjo playing is the sort of thing that got me into the banjo in the first place. Just great!

I have only just learnt that Dave had passed away. Like many others I had the privilege of being one of Dave's students. I am profoundly sad; he was patient and kind and an inspiration. Such a sad loss. Rest in Peace.

Hi Dave. Great to see your still playing after all these years. I stoll have your Epiphone you sold me when you imported your Martin D28. Hope my memory serves me well. I still listen to my Bluegrass CD's. Best regards Joe

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but Dave died on March 15 2016 after a long illness. He and I made music together for over 30 years and I will miss him greatly. andy
