Cunard | Queen Anne | Float Out Ceremony

Today saw another momentous occasion in the construction of Queen Anne, the float out, when she touched water for the very first time. This happened precisely 365 days before Queen Anne is due to set sail on her maiden voyage to Lisbon, on 3 May 2024.
At the float out ceremony, we celebrated the flow of water into the ship’s dry dock, and now find ourselves even more easily picturing life on board our newest ship, as she sails the four corners of the world.

Hello, Cunard Line. This is undoubtedly very cool, but will new ocean liners be built? Cruise ships won't survive the storm in North Athletics. And they will never replace the power and splendor of an ocean liner. RMS Queen Mary 2 is an incredible, powerful, magical ship, but have you thought about making some more ocean liners? After all, the ships can be named in honor of Queen Victoria, in honor of Princess Diana, etc! Or Lusitania 2?

Seriously, people, Cunard has been using the "Queen" for years for their ships that are queens. The "ia" endings are no longer used but for years. Wanting to bring back ships like the Lusitania or Mauretania... for a reason? there are more Cunard ships like the Aquitaine. Or since the Lusitania and Mauretania competed with the White Star Line, you want a boat that has the name of the two fastest boats of the beginning of the 20th century. Let's remember that the QM2 is still the only RMS and Transatlantic that exists. The rest of the cruises are MS. And Cunard merged until it bought 100% of White Star, eliminating its competition, but making it a Premium service for its ships. Since White Star was well known for its luxury and service, while Cunard was the fastest. And bring an Olympic Class..... the Boats with the ending "ic" are from a company that no longer exists. And honestly, you would get on a ship with the name of ships that have experienced tragedies...... the Lusitania did not have a pretty ending and the Titanic and Britannic more of the same.

Scotsman Robert Napier was the major backer of Cunard along with fellow Scots James Donaldson? Sir George Burns, and David MacIver on condition ships were built on the Clyde, 83 great Cunarders were built on Clydeside.I don't think any of the original backers or indeed Cunard would be impressed with this or any of the other horizontal floating tower blocks.
