CUNARD QUEEN MARY 2 PRINCESS GRILL SUITE

I have finally enjoyed my first Cunard cruise on the world's only ocean liner, the Queen Mary 2. And I was lucky enough to do it in style, staying in a Princess Grill Suite (#10066 on deck 10) during a two-night mini-cruise from Southampton to Hamburg. This video is a cabin tour and inside look at my Princess Grill Suite, looking at everything from the bed and linen and pillows to the storage space/shelves, lighting/lamps, plug sockets and then the balcony and lounge area as well as the walk-in wardrobe (I LOVE a walk-in wardrobe!) and bathroom complete with delicious Penhaligon toiletries and an actual bath tub. There's even what I call a 'beverage area' with tea and coffee making facilities and the free bottled water that come with a Princess Grill Suite - I'm pleased to report that the bottles are made from glass and not plastic. And the cabin comes with plenty of excellent hangars as well as a large umbrella and a rug for cooler days. Staying in a Princess Grill Suite is a very special experience and comes with lots of other exclusive perks, like having your own sun terrace, restaurant and lounge - so you really do feel like a VIP. If you can manage the splurge then it really is worth it...

Oh my goodness - what a gorgeous suite! I was in an inside cabin on this ship back in December, and felt there was a nice discreet touch of luxury in there, considering it would be the cheapest room type on this ship. Wow - this one's a beauty though - thanks for sharing!

You're so welcome! And so pleased you liked your cabin too - just shows you don't have to have the best cabin to enjoy it. I had a lovely balcony but the weather wasn't really warm enough to enjoy it, so there wasn't too much point! Fabulous ship though - I can't wait to sail on Queen Anne when it launches...

I NEVER wear red (nor do I normally do dresses) but I saw this one in the shop, tried and on and bought it, all within five minutes. It suited Cunard well!!! Rest of the ship coming soon. I'd LOVE to the the transatlantic on this liner XXX

Are you sure you were looking at the Princess Grill Suite and not the Queen's Grill??? Queen's Grill is one category up and probably has as you saw advertised...

My biggest complaint is that one has to sit on the bed to watch the TV!!!

Ha, I'm not sure I turned on the TV at all, but you're right. You would NOT have been able to watch it from the sofa very well...

I can't remember exactly where it was. I think it WAS mid-ship which, as you say, is the best place to be. Have a look at the deck plan online - you'll be able to see exactly where it is...

Yes the suites are called the Princess Grill suites - funny name, right? If you stay in on then you're entitled to eat in the Princess Grill restaurant - an elite restaurant only for Princess Grill suite guests!
