CUNNINGHAMS GAP ADVENTURE RIDE TE610 & DR650

Adventure ride loop from Brisbane to Cunninghams Gap. Started with the DR650 and a TE610, picked up another rider with a TE610 after messing around on his property near Laidley. About 50/50 dirt and tar, very scenic and a great day ride.

rode this loop today with the GPX file of yours. Old Grandchester Road is closed for traffic midway, after the rocky bit. took a detour on Range Cres. Brilliant ride!

I was wondering how you did that. I was thinking about making a slot or sheath that the stalk of the boot cam slides into and attaching that to the bike so that when you slide in bootcam, it'll be facing forward. That way you can go from hands free to holding the camera and visa versa easy peasy. Or of putting magnets in the front of the jacket so the stalk will snap onto that but I don't know if I'd like to come off with a metal stalk anywhere near my internal organs, hence the sheath idea

none of us have ridden one but from what i read they are very "soft" compared to the r model? i know plenty of us would be interested if they brought back the XR650R with an e-start, but at a cheap price to compete with the DR.

no still got the berg but it will be more of a dirt bike now. can't believe it but would like the bars to sit an inch higher. problem is it will start to look like a chopper though.... :-D

I got really inspired by your bootcam idea ages ago, and the ability to pull the camera out and hold it is genius, so I made one a while back for the Gopro using some aluminium. Since then it's sat in a drawer, I really should try using it! Great video, and music, as usual, cheers!

latest thing i'm trying is shoving it down the belt so you get the front shot between the handlebars. you can see in the vid i haven't got it quite right, but should work well when i get the angle sorted.

Tires? Nows theres can of monkeys....there really is no such thing as a good dual sport tire. Its a battle of sacrifices. Im about to try a perellii scorpion pro tire...It would work great for you I bet, but wont last with all that rock...Try a Mefo Stone Master tire...a pro D/S tire that would kick butt pretty good and last about 2-4k miles.
