I wouldn't say science isn't about finding absolute truth. The whole point of science is to determine the exact structure of reality, the process is oriented to better establishing a more absolute truth. Absolute truth is the orienting factor, and purpose of the scientific method,, as theories are not science, science = a method.

Science deals with empirical truths (evidence-based), not absolute truths (something that is true always in every possible circumstance). Science is a constant evolution: the theories and models we have today to describe reality will be outdated or proven wrong in the future, much as many theories from hundreds of years ago are no longer valid today. We use science to try to find the best description we can about reality, but it is arrogance to assume our empirical facts and theories represent an absolute inviolate truth about the universe.
