Before the "Candy Queen" was a baroness at all, she was a simple girl called Bon-Bon, from her immense liking of sweets. Unfortunately she may have liked them a little too much, for she nearly perished from eating them. The doctors all said the same thing--if she wanted to get better, if she wanted to be healthy and live out her life, she could never eat sweets again. Bon-Bon was despondent and nearly wanted to pass on rather than give up her beloved sweet treats, but by "random" chance the devil visited her on her deathbed. She confessed to him her dying wish, to be surrounded by all the sweets she could eat, to eat as much as she could. To be a ruler in a land MADE of sweets, she proclaimed. As far as desires went, this wasn't the most unusual the devil had ever heard, and at the price of her soul he agreed. Bon-Bon awoke in a new and unfamiliar place, finding that her wish had been granted. She was in her own private heaven. A castle of sweets. Candy subjects. Delicious delights as far as the eye could see. It was all hers...she would make sure of this. No one would oppose the rule of Baroness von Bon Bon.

I could not for the life of me figure out that Candy Corn fucker's pattern and I always only had one hit point going into the final stage. I have no fucking clue how I did this, but I managed to take zero damage and beat this boss just randomly. After an hour of tribulation, it was damn worth it.

I both love and hate this boss simultaneously. Love it because it's so creative and chaotic -- a real test of the player's capacity to adapt and multitask. Hate it because the three minions she sends out at you first are randomized, effectively making this the one and only boss in Cuphead with a luck factor (one of the many forms of artificial difficulty that I otherwise champion Cuphead for its general capacity to avoid).

Galaxy_Star_Maker Well, if you watched the final episode (which aired unannounced on Cartoon Network, but can be found on Hulu and KissCartoon), it ended with Flapjack and Captain K'nuckles setting sail for Candy Island after turning human (I think. This show was really weird and I'm amazed it aired around the time Cartoon Network had CN Real [which, as we all know, was a disaster, like MTV not airing music videos. Though, at least Cartoon Network is back to airing cartoons again, even if it's mostly Teen Titans Go. Meanwhile, MTV has become irrelevant in an era whem music videos can easily be found online] rather than when the channel became popular again with shows like Adventure Time and Regular Show).

I don't know why, but Cuphead is literally the cutest character ever. It could be his eyes, it could be his smile, it could be the fact that I have typed Cuphead so much that it will literally autocorrect to Cuphead, but one thing's for sure, the bad ending version of him looks badass.
