This is now a theme song for an Australian radio game show. The first time I heard it I got whiplash, because I did not expect Cuphead on my morning bus ride’s radio, but it’s always a pleasant surprise. In it, two contestants call in and a voice counts up higher and higher amounts of money. One of the contestants can choose to claim, or they can both wait. If neither claims it for too long, waiting for a higher amount, the 'piggy bank' they're counting on will explode, leaving both contestants empty-handed. The numbers changed each time and there was no pattern to them to keep things interesting. It's a cute concept it's just REALLY funny to me that some Australian (specifically from Melbourne if that helps you look) radio show hosts found and obtained the rights to an old Cuphead fansong for their show lmao

Like, not, oh I don’t know, the CUPHEAD Show, but instead just some random dude in Australia nabbed those rights- Although, you just reminded me of something I find so neat. Griffinilla’s You Signed A Contract song actually got a small reference in one of the official novels. In Cuphead in Carnival Chaos, there’s a chapter entitled, “Brother Where Art Thou?” which is, I kid you not, lifted directly from one of the song’s middle verses. When I tell you I made a sound of surprise aloud while listening to the audiobook, I mean it- Also that game show sounds like so much fun to be on. Then again, I would probably be that one person who calls it way too early just to be safe. I wonder, what would happen if both contestants claimed it at the same time? If you listen close, the person singing sounds really similar to Ranboo, plus he played cuphead recently, _plus_ i saw an animation of his character using this song and it blew up quite quickly. There's probably other reasons but those are the most common i think.
