Sorry to have missed the Live but enjoyed it on playback. I enjoyed the discussion on deck purchasing, which is a multilayered issue. Unless it's simply a question of budget, having no-buy or low-buy years allows us to analyze ourselves in an almost unique way: Am I depriving myself of something I love? If so, where does that come from? What is it about different decks that I find so irresistible? Am I filling "a void" in an indirect or unhealthy way?, etc. Thank you for coming on and sharing your thoughts, Simon.

I think so long as you can genuinely afford it who cares.. I've collected books, plants, candles all sorts of things over the years. These collections are ongoing and I dip in and out .. they will be a life's work.. I am committed to buying less this year because I really want to catch up with what I have. Ive enjoyed listening to you Simon ❤

The soul, internal vision and human curiosity are very involved in Art, that is why there have been different styles: Impressionism, Fauvism, Surrealism... because they are different ways of looking and feeling. Now it seems that by adding the term “intelligence” to AI, it will think for us in a more effective way, when it requires that the humans feed it until it eats for itself, and only then it will be able to create for itself. I hope and wish that this doesn’t stop us (humans) from thinking, feeling and reasoning for ourselves. Thank you very much for your videos. Hugs from Spain. Irene

It seems as soon as we commit to not doing something, that is when all the opportunities crop up, a nice deck is released etc. I played the game where if I talked myself out of three decks, I could say yes to the next one. (there is always a "next one") Im now in a place where I havnt bought a deck for over a year.. Really its no different than collecting books or music. Those collections are never truly complete either🤷‍♂

Never truly complete and often a life’s work/collection. If you can afford to do it and still pay you bills I say just enjoy your expanding collection.
