CuppaTeaExe's channel is extremely unique. He's not showing his "experience" / "process" / "journey" of him making the map. Instead of showing "How I built TJOC", he makes the video as if he's *Teaching* us *How* to make it. And his exclusion of any form of troubleshooting or "issues" makes it seem like he's literally breaking no sweat when he makes these maps.
@CuppaTeaExe2 ай бұрын
I’ve never considered my videos to be ‘tutorials’, but Im fully aware that showing the commands essentially makes them tutorials lol. That’s why I’ve never been bothered to make dedicated videos on certain topics. It’s a lot easier for me to show things off one step at a time once I’ve finished something, which is probably why you said that I don’t show off a ‘process’. That said, if you’ve watched my command block builds since FNAF 1, you can absolutely see my journey in getting better at command blocks! Each video though is essentially a checklist (one that I’m actively checking as I’m making the video), and it’s fun to see it come together one big step at a time, that way things don’t drag on/ become uninteresting. Commands are very fun, but I definitely don’t want an entire video where I just type code the whole time lol. Finally just want to bring up the issues or struggles I have with these maps. There is ALWAYS definitely something that takes longer than normal as it takes a while to figure out, but I rarely show this off as it’s never really interesting. However, if a bug is funny/ very weird, I’ll show that off as sometimes making games does have its wacky moments. This does make it seem like I never struggle making these maps and makes it a lot easier than it actually is, but I’ve found this to be the easiest way to make these videos. Thanks for the comment. This is the first one I’ve seen like this and it was interesting to read through!

I would suggest having the custom scoreboard "player" names use a symbol like a period or a comma, just in case. That way, there's no way it can mess up if a player with the same name plays the map. I mean, it's unlikely that you'll get anyone with the username "Cam1Timer" downloading the map, but the possibility is more than 0.

Looks very cool! Some nitpicks: - some commands are unoptimized, such as '@e[tag=tag]', which is not a major issue for small maps, but it's usually prefered to specify the entity you're looking for down to its type, such as '@e[type=armor_stand,tag=tag]', and for even more optimization - put 'in overworld' after the 'execute' part. this is because minecraft checks for EVERY entity with the tag if not specified - datapacks are much more optimized in comparison to command blocks, and because of their nature - you can reuse the same block of code by sending different variables into functions via macros. personally - they're much more convinient, since you have all the code you've wrote before you, without the need to check every single command block. plus plugins for Visual Studio can help you with coding itself. - instead of checking every single slot for an item (which is VERY inefficient and VERY laggy), you can make a scoreboard that counts how many of the item you have in your inventory by utilizing an execute command that stores result of a clear command. then, if you have 2 or more flashlights - send a signal to clear 1 until it matches 1. this works nicely with your item replace system, because you will ALWAYS have 1 in your inventory, and the only scenario where you get 2 and more is when you move the item in your inventory. - instead of using multiple command blocks to clone each section (again - very inefficient) - you can use one cblock with `clone masked`, which will clone all the blocks but air. this will ensure that you won't accidentally delete blocks inside the house, as they get replaced by the air. - it's a very little nitpick, but you could've used interaction entities to make a precise detection of right/left clicks for several gameplay elements, such as drawer open. - chica's jumpscare zooms in way too much. it's nearly impossible to notice that she drags you into the ceiling... Overall - great map, but I can see it being a bit laggy on some devices...

Another nitpick that I'd like to point out is that animatronics appear based on how many fuses you have replaced, not by how long the night has gone on. Similarly, Foxy's difficulty is also based on the amount of fuses you have replaced, not the amount of times he has appeared. Same thing for Chica

@rockhardata18082 ай бұрын
Clever pun! …now get out.
@notaword6834Ай бұрын
you would only use conditional chain command blocks if you’re wanting the conditional CB to ONLY activate if the command block before it activates AND is successful. it’s different to how a row of chain command blocks unconditional would all power if the normal command block was powered, reguardless if its function was successful or not. I hope this makes sense lol
@notaword6834Ай бұрын
an example would be how he replaces the fuses. the conditional command block would be used. If the command was put into a repeating command block with, execute if @p entity (ect ect) [item=iron_nugget] run setblock ~ ~ ~ redstone_block, the conditional command block following it would ONLY activate if the player has the iron nugget, and would lock the other chain command blocks.

Such an amazing job recreating the tjoc demo in minecraft The only inaccuracy to the real game i can point out is that animatronics apearing in the night are actually tied to the amount of fuses replaced, not time passing in general. But it's such a minor detail, overall you did a fantastic job, as allways!
@CuppaTeaExe2 ай бұрын
I replied to another comment who said the same thing. If that is the case, it’s hard to tell as the animatronics happen to appear around the same time as a fuse needs replacing if you leave it until the lights flicker. I messed around with replacing all the fuses before catching Freddy once, and I don’t remember anyone else showing up. Since there’s no way to stop the power from going out, there’s no way for me to know for sure, unless it’s proved in the source code. Either way, glad you enjoyed the video!

I also created tjoc demo first level in minecraft (Bedrock). It took me like 100 command blocks. I used camera command for cameras and inputpermission command for disallowing a player to move. dx,dy,dz selector parameters helped me to restraint maximum degree you can rotate in each direction on each camera. Instead of shells and wardrobe I've used regular chests with also random fuse generator and cakes. Like in original game, there is maximum amount of 2 fuses can be spawned, but the second one spawns only when you have already taken the first but still haven't used it (like in the tjoc). I used basic mobs like wither skeleton for foxy, zombie for Freddy, spider for chica and skeleton for bonnie. Like in tjoc, you should point your camera at the wither skeleton, and all of his angry teleportations will reset the level of aggression to zero without fully sending him away. Nikson made it to make it possible for player to defend against chica and foxy at the same time. It's hilarious that back then he planned to return old mechanic, so cakes were supposed to spawn behind the doors in first test videos. Doors and window open when you get close to them. Random scary spooky sounds (fully without mods, just typical playsound command and playing with speed) and random skeleton/zombie appearing were added as well. What do you think?

Great work! But for some of the tick and scoreboard related ones like the one in 15:30, I'd recommend putting a tick delay and having the score account for the tick delay... though it does mean that the time is not exact, but does help optimize it Also I do command blocks on Bedrock, so optimization is probably not much of a problem for you and idk much of the differences between Java and Bedrocks commands

Idea for locking the player in place: Give them slowness 255 and make their gravity attribute absurdly high so they can't jump up to avoid the slowness. This'll make it a lot less jerky with the gameplay.
