Nice video! As a resident of Curacao let me point out a few things just so people have a better idea. If someone is interested in going to Klein Curacao they are many boat companies that go there. They all depart at different times. Anywhere from 6:45am to 9:30am. It takes about 1.5 hours to get there or as little as 45mins depending on which company you go with. For hiking to the top of Christoffelberg at Christoffel National Park it is advised to start between 6am and 9am on their website. Most people get there when the park opens at 6am to start their climb otherwise it's too hot. A better option when arriving on a cruise ship would be going to Shete Boka National Park. For the Hato Caves you need to walk up 49 (somewhat steep) steps to start the tour.

Carnival Horizon in September, Aruba/Curacao/La Romana/Amber Cove! Everything but Amber Cove will be new to us! Thanks for this great review

That sounds amazing! Aruba has the most delicious food (try Wacky Wahoo’s if you’re in port at night.) Curaçao architecture and shopping is top notch! You’ll love it.

@@ThingsToDoInTravel Thank you! Yes, we're in Aruba until 10p I believe so we have lots of time there. Unfortunately we're only in Curacao from like 7a to 3p. Any recommendations on how to see the "most" in that time frame? We'll have two kids with us, 10 and 9, as well. Thanks so much!

Of all the islands we’ve been to on cruises, Curaçao is the best one for walking right off the ship and exploring. Depending on where your ship docks, you could be right at the Queen Emma bridge or a little farther away, but even the farthest is only a 10 minute walk. The best shopping is on that walk, the shopping at the fort is great. You can climb up and look out at great views at the fort also. The snorkeling is great here if you’d rather have a water activity, but be aware that they usually don’t have places to change and you probably have to pay to use a bathroom. If you decide to try Wacky Wahoos, plan to take a taxi and get there 15-20 before opening at least. There’s usually a line. (It’s worth it.) I plan to make a KZbin Short about that place, it’s so good!

I didn't know there was an aquarium. None of the excursions mentioned it. I must check it out in January 2025. There are so many great things to do and see, I wish we were staying here longer! :-)

Take a taxi to Mambo beach from the cruise port, which takes about 10 mins. The Curacao Sea Aquarium and Dolphin Academy are located at the far end of the beach across from Lion's Dive hotel. Mambo Beach itself is a popular beach and has restaurants and shopping and easy to get a cab back downtown.

Do you buy or have to pay to put a lock on the lock tree
@ThingsToDoInTravel5 ай бұрын
@@kylekiesewetter5072 you don’t have to pay to put one on there, but you’ll need to buy and bring your own lock plus bring a sharpie pen to write on it with. There was a local selling some locks but they were tiny and overpriced with no writing instrument. I even saved the keys to the lock and made necklaces. ❤

@@kylekiesewetter5072 it’s right next to the floating bridge. It depends on where the boat is parked. There are two areas. It was about a 10 - 15 minute walk for us but i would recommend walking to this area regardless it’s the most bustling and has the shops and local stands.

Curacao is an island of enslaved Africans brought to the Caribbean. I love your videos but don't forget about the slavery on that island. Why do you fail to mention the harsh conditions of slavery on that island. But you can talk about the synagogue like it has an importance to slavery. The jews always want humanity to remember what happened to them . We as African have to let world know what happened to our ancestors. In your future videos above curacao, please talk above our enslaved African people not just Europe Europe Europe. Stop promoting Europe, they enslaved our people. Be truthful in you videos. God bless
