Their job is to protect everyone's property value! If I paid 300k for my home, I don't want a lunatic living next to me painting their home purple. It's hard for me to sell, and the property value would decline. Research and read about property value. Many people work hard for their 🪙 💰 🪙 😤

I think some HOAs get a little ridiculous! I live in Scottsdale, Arizona I’ve never heard of a HOA not allowing you to paint your house in the same color as it was. That’s crazy!

I fought my HOA when they changed the paint colors without community input. I considered the original colors the architect’s intent and a historical reference should be honored. I got a number of home owners who liked the colors behind me.

@@designedtothenines Wow! That HOA is a bit controlling. I truly understand not painting your home some crazy color, but telling you exactly where the paint has go is a bit much. I also wondered about the the windows, but then I noticed one window is a bump out and the other window is not, it's an inney (is that a word...lol). Generally speaking HOAs protect the neighborhoods retain value, but sometimes they can really go rogue. It just depends on members running it.

I'm so glad we live in a HOA neighborhood! Otherwise, you'll get people who think just because it's theirs, they can paint it hot pink or never mow their lawn. I've never had any problems with our HOA. It's for the benefit of everyone in the neighborhood, plus it keeps our home values up.

Love the updating especially the magnetic accessories for the garage door (have to get those) even though the colors were out of your control but I noticed that the windows on the second floor, one was painted all the way around and the other was only painted on the bottom so to me the 2 windows kind of look odd.

The home looks so nice! The solar lights add more sophisticated character to the front and they look exactly like the wired one. I have the same electric ones on my front and side entrances. Looks super polished for sure! I also have the garage magnets, and if I can make a suggestion, I placed my handles in the lower squares and look better than being so high. Maybe match the height of the front door handle placement. Just a thought.😊 You all put a lot of work into this project, and Looks Awesome!!!😊😊😊

Wow you get a lot done in one episode. The house looks amazing, I actually really love the colours. The only pet peeve I have is the second window upstairs in front does not have the full dark accent surround as the other one, but I presume that is because it is not a bump put as you refer to it. It still looks amazing. Thank god here in Ireland we don't have HOA....anything I have heard from people is they are a nightmare!!

I love Walmart and I prefer shopping with Walmart versus orther online shoping. I have bought bathroom sinks, faucets, shower doors, rugs, hardware, yarn, fabric. You name itand there's usually a third party seller with what you need at a good price.

Not being able to paint the house the color you want or door and garage sucks. That's what happens when there is a homeowner's association. Paint looks good with the two different colors. Your Arizona home curb appeal is amazing. You have such talent and a great eye for design! AND you solved a huge dilemma for me for with those Walmart solar lights on either side of the garage. I just bought a home and it has only one electrical outlet and a puny old light on it. I like symmetry. I needed two lights, one on either side of my garage. The best part is that I don't have to hire an electrician!! I am going to buy these solar lights and I won't even use the one electrical plug I'll just cover it up with the solar light. My driveway gets full sun so using solar lights will be fine. I can't wait to put these solar lights on my home! I've been watch your channel for years. I love your content. It has given me inspiration to try new things.

I like Hoas. I delt with redoing houses for 36 years. Hoas prevent people from painting their homes crazy colors and parking on there lawn and on there rocks etc.... I've seen it all.

I love those garage lights and have been looking for something like that for my home. But I never seem to have good luck with solar powered outdoor lights, even though they get plenty of sun. They will work for about a week and then stop. I might give these ones a try anyways.
