LOL It failed hard with 2,160 LBS. It got half way up and fell back down after spilling half the water out. Test 2 with half the water gone worked...

And the can slipped to the point where it almost dropped in the hopper. Very much, not a positive test! 🤣🤣
@texasgarbagetrucks62063 жыл бұрын
@@bruceandler8924 Well it does that cause the claw can't hold the weight. The driver can't control how it grabs, All they control is it opening in closing not the strength.

Yeah bud these things are tough one closed grabber can come down and crush a can flat
@Jay_Force_One4 ай бұрын
It depends on the truck obviously, but they were designed knowing people might throw away high volume debris that ways a lot. Most trucks can handle 500-800 pounds.

The amazing part about this demo is that the can didn't break?
@GarbageTrucksAZ11 жыл бұрын
Lol they are. They're constantly broken down here. The packer will freeze up, the arm will freeze, grippers won't move, etc. They aren't the worst, but they certainly don't match the quality of others.

@3amrepmike314 жыл бұрын
WOW VERY impressive. Not only is this an amazing testament to the Curbtender, But a great testament to these cart brands. Specifically the Rotonics for being able to hold the weight to prove the truck could lift it. Great job with this. I was quite suprised how well it handle it without shaking of the arm or becoming jumpy under the stress. A fine machine you guys produce here.

I'm impressed! Our Aussie side loaders have a lift capacity of about 150kg (350lbs), unless that's because we use rotary systems? Even still that is very neat, gotta love the power of hydraulics!

I tried this with my trash can only filling it half way up and the brand new Labrie Automizer ASL could not lift it. the can slipped through the grabber three times before the driver gave up on trying to empty it.
@camgreer13 жыл бұрын
That's cool, but you get a 96 gallon toter half full of ice, coated with frost, using low grip like our boss insists we use (even though the carts are guaranteed unbreakable...yeah right) and that sucker will slip out of the gripper. Even full of wet grass in summer, with no frost on the cart, low grip will not always hold. It's also quite a bit slower than high grip, yet for some reason we are not allowed to use high. We use the wide rubber banded traction grippers.

Water's not a very good indicator. On the 300 gallon it failed to lift it to the tipping point without spilling a significant amount of water. It would have been interesting to see if the truck had weight scales that showed the tip weight, and if they were accurate enough to properly represent the weight on the claw arm. If it could lift 2160 pounds of trash in a 300 gallon and tip it without spilling any that would be definitive proof.

My wayne curbtender i drive at work is fuckin horrible. It has constant electric issues and an engineer from wayne came down to work on it because the dealer that we bought it from couldn't fix it and it still messes up. I would drive anything but a curbtender. All of the other waynes at my work has their floors peeling up and they are only 2-3 years old. Our old bridgeports last longer than these trucks.
