Lindy, some tips! 1. Your hair isn’t too short, your curling rods are just a little too big. Thinner ones will help! 2. YOUR MOM DID GIVE YOU CURLS! Your hair is screaming wavy/curly (especially when it grows out). You just have to follow the curly girl method and you’ll start seeing some more defined waves/curls. 3. That slicked back look was MADE FOR YOU. You looked super hot!

I agree. Whenever I watch these hair videos, I'm like screaming in my head: curly girl method, curly girl method! Saying I - a girl with always "straight" hair. I just always thought it is damaged, not cut good by hairdressers cause my ends always flipped onto two different ways and never lay flat. Now I have wavy 2a hair and I absolutely love it.

you have to dampen your hair first. then, using smaller sections, roll each one downward. also, a rattail come will help with pushing the hair around the roller (meaning, any hairs that stick out, you can use the tail end of the comb to help smooth it over the roller). #toomanyyearsexperience :)

First- I NEED a full face tutorial of j this makeup because it's so damn sultry I love it. But when I always grew out my buzzed Chelsea cut I would just wear bandanas and silk scarves but tied more pinup style so the tie is ontop of the head , not the back.and cover the ears with the bandana part helps. My hair is stick straight so when it's short I always have to wear a beanie or bandana in the morning or if I sweat . Bc then my hair would stick straight out like I put my wet finger in a electrical socket. Including my bangs. I love me some micro bangs or Betty bangs but the moment I get hot, they stick straight out and not cute. So bandanas are always my saving grace. That and clip in extensions for front areas over the ears to make it look like my hair is more even when I wanted it to.

Ya gotta roll them downward, not upward flippy style, lol. They stay in fine that way, though I use bobby pins to hold them in some places. Helps if your hair is about the same length all over. I use these nearly every night and sleep in them. No problem other than I cut my hair too short on the sides last time, so I use smaller rollers in places. You can eventually get used to it, I can roll by feel and have it all rolled in minutes. I'm so old school, lol. I love short curly hair and wish to God it was more in style.

Ive grown out from a pixie cut with 2c curls, used to have straight hair when I grew it out from bald. With 2c this length was a blast, straight it was the worst of lengths. I respect the insight to curl it 😂

As someone who has spent a big portion of her live with pinup hairdos: you need to think about your desired curl pattern before and while putting in the rollers. The direction in which you role them and the placement on your head have a huge effect on how they look once you take out the rollers. And it's best to carefully comb out the curls with a soft brush while styling them. That way your curls get a softer look and more shine. If I may suggest: I think finger waves would look stunning on you :)

Seeing your dry hair with no product from other videos, im almost 100% positive you have some type of curl or wave pattern in your hair its just damaged/not taken care off, or combed out, hence the "poofiness" and different directions your hair is trying to flow when its dry. Its how my bf hair used to look all the time before he realized it was actually curly. If you try experimenting with curl routines im sure you'll get at LEAST some nice waves out of your hair, this coming from a girl with curly hair who has struggled and is still learning about my curl routine (I know the user is misleading I just don't know how to change it 🧎‍♀️)

I have the same awkward length rn (and much finer/thinner hair than Crystal) and I put some volume mousse, then just put three big velcro rollers in a line right down the top of my head (rolled back/away from my face), scrunch everything else, and let it air dry. Brush it out and use some pomade/hair spray and it's a volumized and sleek slicked-back look that lasts a week or so.

Everything from the crown out should face downward or start from the front and face them back and point the backs going down your back.For sure watch some tutorials and pay attention to the directions the hair is wrapped around the curl because i think it could be cute. Lighted wet hair, place curlers in facing downwards, when you take them out use a light curling gel or mouse and gently run it with your fingers through the curls in the same directions the curls were formed in.
