As a fragrance connoisseur and collector. I have Dior Homme intense I have a 100ml bottle and 50ml bottle, and I wear it simply for my own enjoyment. It smells way better than “ sauvage “ . A lot of People don’t really know what they like they just gravitate towards what they know and what smells familiar.

I started my fragrance collection with Sauvage. Now, 3 years later, Dior homme intense is my favorite Dior fragrance. When you start to know more fragrances, you develop a refined taste. Many people nowadays hate YSL Kouros, for instance, but i love it. Some fragrances require a strong personality, otherwise the fragrance wears you.

With that said, I get a lot of compliments from women when I wear Sauvage, which was a gift from my ex girlfriend, & I get very few compliments when I wear Dior Homme Intense. “Blue” fragrances were made to not only succeed, but rather *excel* in the _exact parameters_ exhibited in the contest demonstrated in this video. What is the best way to sell a fragrance? Make it appeal to as many people as possible! The majority of “Blue” fragrances are made to tick off as many boxes as possible, as such, they are amazing for first dates and general social events. They aren’t often “10/10” scents but even if they aren’t loved, they are never disliked, they are often loud but rarely obnoxiously so, they are _extremely_ versatile to the point that you can blindly “grab and go” virtually whenever and wherever. In essence, “Blue” fragrances were made to thrive in first impression situations, whereas fragrances such as DHI, D&G The One EDP, Terre D’Hermes, Oud fragrances, Leather fragrances, etc., are not as safe, and perhaps even risky, but when women love them… oh boy…. get the restraining order ready 😅😅 To shorten it _way_ down: • “Blue fragrances” are like having a soccer team full of 7-8/10 players; everybody likes them, they get the job done, they’re overused and on full display with no secrets, but they’re generally successful for a reason! • the other aforementioned fragrances are like have a few messi/Ronaldo’s on your team!; they may be divisive, they’re often controversial, they’re mysterious and alluring and keep to themselves - but when you talk to someone who is a fan of them, they will do fucking anything for them and they are literal _die hard_ fucking fans that love them more than life itself !!

Sometimes you just need a fragrance to get the job done. I wear savage when I have no time to decide what I want to wear. When I prepare more, I can always find a fragrance that fits the occasion better but sauvage can get the job done in almost any scenario.

Yes exactly! It’s going to be difficult to top a designer “blue” fragrances in a competition such as presented in this video as they were quite literally made to be an extremely versatile mass appealing scent aimed to make a good first impression. If you’re simply meeting a stranger and asking them to rate the opening of a fragrance, the majority of designer fragrances will lose to most “blue” scents in such a face-off. This exact reason is why blue fragrances are _perfect_ for first date situations. However, if you have a scent like Azzaro TMWP, Terre D’Hermes, or DHI such as in this video, you have a higher chance of someone disliking it, but when you find those who like/love it - they REALLY LOVE IT ahahaha. Once you start going on several dates/get into long-term relationship that is when you see the sheer dominance of more complex fragrances! Of course, your partner will still love and enjoy mass appealing fragrances on you, but when you wear a Prada L’Homme, D&G The One EDP, Terre D’Hermes Eau Givrée, Mancera, etc.,… oh boy…. get the chastity belt ready because she is gonna _rip your clothes off and have her way with you!_

I prefer the Dior Homme Intense. It's so ellegant, sofisticated fragrance! One of the masterpieces in my opinion, still on the top of my privet list of the best fragrances ever (with Dior Fahrenheit). Personaly I love this controversial lipstick vibe... but I understand why women choosed Sauvage... it's also a great scent, and (what is most important here) difinitely more masculine. All depends on the occasion, and what you weare. If you weare a suit, or you like smart casual style for everyday, DHI is an amazing choice. Sauvage is quite versatile, you can't go wrong. It's a "crowd-pleaser", but sexy, and with class. Lately a little bit too popular, but... who cares...

Sauvage is such a people pleaser it’s hard to beat. Seems everyone (including myself) loves ambroxin. DHI is much more refined and mature and DHP is an absolute masterpiece! Bleu De Chanel might give Sauvage some good competition in a head to head battle but I bet Sauvage remains king!

Great job Michella, only thing to improve, do not approach groups of 3/4 girls, the others are influenced by the first judgment and do not give their true opinion. Dior homme intense has been reformulated and lightened, while Sauvage is an ambroxan bomb! perhaps with Dylan Blue it would be a more open challenge!

if groups of 4 girls all voted for DHI you wouldn't say it was under influence and opinions weren't true. 99% of mass pleasing movies get poor rates from experts while high rated movies by masters typically don't make big numbers on box office. fragrance same. i get it you are disappointed but it is what it is just accept reality. my opinion the only thing to improve is that instead of "which one is more sexy?" she should simply ask "which one smells better". what the hell does these scents have anything to do with sex? yeah sexy, on who? rihanna and Shaq might put on the same fragrance and you smell it and tell me which one is more sexy.

I think the reason why everybody likes sauvage over homme is because it is more accesible, more recognizable tones, more basic. Homme is more like a punch in the nostrils, something you dont smell everyday. But i think, over a longer period more would choose homme.

Not surprised DHI got crushed here, but the categories are way too different. And if battling them during the Summer, then DHI will have it even worse for sure, as you certainly verified :D A more reasonable battle for DHI would be some other Fall-Wintery, or night-time, elegant fragrances, e.g. Prada L'Homme Intense, JPG Le Male Le Parfum etc. And I'd think best to do that battle during that time those fragrances are most suitable for, so in this case in Fall/Winter, and during the evening. And for Sauvage, some other people pleasing, all-year rounder options, e.g. a la Acqua di Gio Profondo, Montblanc Explorer, YSL Y EDP, or of course Bleu de Chanel. The battle among these could be done any time of the year.

Great video Curly! Personally, as an older guy, I absolutely love Dior Homme Intense (certainly more than Sauvage edt). Right now where I live it’s very cold (Toronto, 🇨🇦) and it is amazing, particularly the fragrance trail is out of this world (as my wife says!). Dior Sauvage has one advantage over its more mature kin - Homme Intense - is the flexibility to mix and match with other fragrances. Where·as the D.homme line is a perfect package of its own so we can't bear to defile it in the name of Experiment! :D PS: Interesting content and presentation as always miss 6packs perfume! I do prefer Dior Sauvage too. Dior Homme Intense smells more refined, but at the same time smells a little bit like women's lipstick and for this reason I cannot consider this perfume as a genuine fragance for men. I think it is an unisex fragance.

Dior homme intense shines after a few minutes, when that chocolaty creaminess starts to come forward. Dior homme intense will never beat sauvage if people smell only the opening, specially in a test strip.

If you find the DHI comes off as too feminine, try Valentino Uomo Intense. It's got that iris note but is definitely more masculine. Also the Givenchy gentleman line is worth checking out, but they're not as good as VUI, imho.

I wasn't surprised, I love the Intense but Sauvage didn't get the to be so popular because it was just ok.

The problem is that fragrance enthusiasts like us have a different nose than the average person. We want to smell different and acquire/develop a different preference as a result. To the uninitiated, however, you go for what smells stereotypically pleasant-like a Sauvage. The average person will never appreciate a “challenging” fragrance as many of us would. And, by the way, this is why Dior reformulated Dior Homme. It’s just not popular outside of the fragrance community.

I usually agree with your opinions, however iris is a feminine note to my nose. Try Dillan Blue against Savauge I like it slightly more.

Here in Brazil, it is rare to see someone wear something different than Axe body spray or Natura fragrances at best. Sauvage is not very well known here, influencers talk about it but it's rare for a dude to buy something other than Ralph Lauren's Polo flankers.

I got a 7 ml sample of DHI and I’m thrilled with the scent now I’m going to get a full bottle

I think a better option would of been comparing Dior Sauvage with say, Bleu de Chanel or Dylan Blue or Prada Carbon etc. Dior homme intense is way too different and it's a lovely scent. I get why Sauvage was the straight up winner 🏆

I haven't smelled Dior Homme Intense but I did get bored of Sauvage edt before I finished the bottle. I'd be interested to see it battle against mass apealing, fresh niche fragrances.

I brought Savuage on a recommendation and I like it but when my friend put me on to niche fragrances. I rarely ever wear Sauvage. Only downside with DHI is that it doesn't project off my skin much.

Dìor intense in my eyes is a masterpiece I smell it for the first time I went wow Dior sauvage is alright I still prefer intense 100 time💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
