This game can be hard, but for some reason this beginning level is one of the hardest in the whole game. It gets easier further into the game. It really starts you off in the deep end but it also wanted you to try it stealthily

Masked Marvel? In comics, it was his 1st costume as a wrestler. The swinging in the sky is actually taken from an old spider-man game. This is sorta of a Spritual Successor to both PS1 games with some devs of the 2 games help make it. It's the equivalent of the Hulk smash combat & mechanics from Ultimate Destruction put into Prototype games.

This game was really fun back in the day, but I played on Normal mode. You really need to experinent with the combos and especially the web attacks. Web attack pointing in different directions does different things. You already found web dome and web boxing gloves, but there's web yank, and web bullets. Stealth is also highly recommended. If you beat the game, I think you unlock Green Goblin too. You definitely need to play Spider-Man (2000) and Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro (2001) if you haven't already. They're PS1 games (and Dreamcast and I think N64 as well) that you can play on the PS2, and they are really special. That first game was actually the very first 3D Spider-Man game. This movie adaptation you're playing in this video basically uses a lot of the same game mechanics as those first two PS1 games. The stories in both are great and do a great job reflecting the comics of the time. The voice acting and cast of villains and supporting characters are also really cool. Rino Romano from these two games was my Spider-Man voice I heard when reading comics until Josh Keaton and later Yuri Lorenthal came around. It had awesome bonus content too like collectible comic book covers that gave summaries of major issues of Spuder-Man's comics from his debut in Amazing Fantasy #15, and if I'm correct, up through the 9-11 issue of Amazing Spider-Man that had just come out following the terrorist attack not long before that second game came out. Other unlockables include character models and most notably unlickable costumes with costume-specific abilities. Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro then had the same costumes and bonus abilities that the original had, added even more costumes on top of that, and then they enabled you to mix and match costumes and bonus abilities to your liking. The way that Marvel's Spider-Man (2018) gave you costumes and let you swap around costumes and their bonus powers on the fly were lifted straight out of these old PS1 games. It was one of the many reasons people who were playing games around 2000-2001 fell so hard for the PS4 game. Thise PS1 games are definitely must-play experiences.

You should alternate between kicks and punches, when you are on top of an enemy you can press the kick button to do a resteling move on him, you should look for golden spider emblems because they are the only things that unlock new combos, you should also be able to move your enemies around with your web and take the guns out their hands and you should use a web attack to blind your enemies after the first melee attack (only the first attack, you can't do it mid combos) hope this helps.

I played this on hard as a kid and it's one of the most unfair games ever especially the first goblin fight and the oscorp missions. You have to really commit to finding all the combat tokens and using your web shield. And holding the jump button to jump on enemy's heads. The stealth parts suck because theres no take downs, you have to find the shadow parts of the map and sneak past all the enemies

The Original Hobgoblin was Roderick Kingsley And What Spider-Man’s original wrestling costume? I don’t believe had a name but it’s mostly referred to as the masked marvel costume. Eventually in later versions of the origin, the costume changed; sometimes it’s actually Peter’s spandex costume he uses for Spider-Man if you took away the webs and the spider. At some points it’s a turtleneck and sweatpants, taking on a full wrestling inspired look.

As someone who played this on Hard/Hero difficulty, I can relate. Uncle Ben’s killer was harder to beat than Scorpion or Goblin. You have superpowers, but this man kills you in 3-4 hits with a shotgun if you’re careless. On top of that, the bomb disarm levels are a NIGHTMARE! It must’ve taken me at least 11 tries before finally beating it. After many quiet frustrations, irritation, and failed attempts, I finally beat the game and unlocked Goblin, which was DEFINITELY worth it.

Iirc, Ned *was* planned to be the actual Hobgoblin, but the Hobgoblin's creator Roger Stern left Marvel and writer Tom DeFalco put his own spin on it.

Btw you were supposed to crawl along the ceiling and drop down one by one on each enemy. It took me a few tries before i decided to sneak by on the ceiling. Then it got easy.

I just say to each his own. Never found this game to be particularly difficult but the Oscorp level can always go to hell. For me it added an extra layer of depth to the movie's and it was pretty much an HD version of the ps1 Spider-Man games. Those 2 games basically trained me for this one, theyre great too. I kind of miss this style of gameplay for Spidey. A remake of the ps1 games would be incredible.

I beat this game on the hardest difficulty about a few months ago. You'll want to get the handspring combo token (which should be in the second level) and pretty much spam it for most of the enemies. It knocks enemies down and has great range. The final hit of it also works as an OTG, so you can use it to hit enemies on the floor. You should also get the advanced web gloves, advanced web dome, and haymaker. Haymaker is a VERY important move to get because it two shots bosses with the advanced web gloves on. And definitely prioritize the guys with the guns.
