I’ve watched A LOT of curly hair videos to learn how to take care of my hair in the past year. You are one of the few people who is the most practical which I love. Most influencers use and promote expensive hair products that are just not practical when you’re on a budget. I really appreciate your focus on affordable products, helpful info, and techniques. It allows me to do something good for myself. And, spend my money on important things like therapy for my special needs child. Thank you so much and I look forward to more videos.

Totally agree! I’ve been watching CG videos since 2011. Because of hormonal changes my hair has changed from 3a to 2b/c and very very similar to your your hair! I’ve had no idea how to work with my hair now and it’s felt like I have someone else’s hair on my head. I’ve only 2 videos and you’ve honestly answered all my questions and saved me from buying a product that wouldn’t work for me. Thank you so much!! So helpful and to the point! So how do you un clump it to make it straight?
@pdodson4942 Жыл бұрын
@@juliethompson4899The idea is to wear it curly/wavy, not to straighten it. If you want to straighten it, wash or refresh it and then straighten it as you normally would (without going through the process in the video).

I’ve been learning how to manage my baby 2A waves for about 18 months now and am finally learning that simple is what works best for my hair. After 2 years of trying to do CGM, I've found it very liberating to embrace my naturally straight hair. Sometimes frizz is just frizz and nothing to do with curls waiting to happen.

@@Lily_of_the_Forest she might have wavy hair, but hasn't learned to embrace the waves. I have low porosity, fine waves, which turn to frizz without the cgm. I can occasionally get one spiral, but mostly beachy waves. I'm quite content with that look. I do need to use lighter products, and hardly ever "co-wash." 😊

I’ve tried this twice now and am getting the best results ever. Thank you so much! I’ve dubbed it Susie’s Shower Styling in my hair journal. Hanging my hair forward is the huge game changer for me. If I look at my clumps wrong they fall apart but this method lets me apply my products and diffuse without ever moving my head. I use my wide toothed comb to set my part while I still have my conditioner in then let it fall forward while it rinses out. I then apply my leave in and my gel, exit the shower catching drips with my microfiber towel, microplop for a few minutes, and then diffuse all my hair without having to move my head around! Bonus? It’s cut down my drying time because the center back of my head gets more air flow. Susie, you have changed my life 😊

I'm so glad you made this video hardly anyone makes videos on how to make curl clumps, only Swavy Curly Courtney made one video about this that I'm aware of and it's the video I've been following. But I wanted to see how other people made clumps and I couldn't find any other videos. Most curly girls rake products through their hair and even comb them through with a fine-toothed comb and they end up with the fattest juiciest shiny curls. When I do that my hair comes out so stringy and with a wet look even if I didn't use gel and I hate that look I want big fat curls. I'm going to do what you do next time I wash my hair.

Love this video! I’m trying this tomorrow - my hair clumps great on one side with no effort but the other side tends to be more of a frizzy curl , using a little gel helps but like you I like to keep it simple and always resist using a lot of different products. When my hair is dry I scrunch a bit of argan oil in and this really helps too.

Your technique works great on my layered, chin-length (after dry!) bob. I was running low on curl defining cream and it's always a crap shoot which one to buy--even if one works well, I get tempted to try something else. With your system of using defining gel in the shower, I find I won't be needing curl definer. The clumps are best-ever and they held up all week long. Thank you!

New subscriber! Your videos have been so helpful to me for the past week or so I have been watching. I have always had curly hair but I went through a long straightening phase and because my hair is NATURALLY two different colors, (it is super blonde in the front and very dark blonde/light brown in the back) I have to bleach or dye my hair. I have been bleaching because the front is so blonde that I find I can make that look last longer without having touch ups. (I only get it colored twice a year and just deal with the roots the rest of the time.) ANYWAY, I decided to re-embrace my curls and they can’t remember what to do with themselves in some places. 😂 Your videos have been super helpful getting them back! Thanks again!
