I am From GONDIA District , "LAST District of Maharashtra". The name 'Gondia' come from the "GOND" Tribe. They were kings in this district also help Maratha army to hide in dense forest and fight against mugals during Aurangzeb's deccan Invesion.

My Village half comes in Maharashtra and in MP I had visited in Gond Village in neat by my village and I know little bit of their custom, culture. The Gond people are very simple and honest. Their dance too is very attractive in fact I had danced with them when I was kid.

In present condition, Gadchiroli district has 73% forests, but due to the ongoing iron mining, Gadchiroli will be like Chandrapur in a few years. Forests in the district are being destroyed and mining is going on everywhere just for money.

Come to the BALAGHAT (Madhya Pradesh) is covered Max forest area. Near kanha national park A large number of tribal population depends upon the forest of satpuda (maikal range). Gond, Baiga tribes lives there with a lot of risk of Tigers, leopard population. Balaghat share the boundary with chhatisgarh and Maharashtra too. 🐯
