Your videos are always helpful, but I especially appreciate them when you’re using the same loom as me!

Thanks for all your videos. Now I have to see how to convert a lift plan to a plan for a rigid heddle with pickup sticks...someday I will have a floor loom.

Good to see you Andy! This was a very interesting video. And, I actually understood your conversion method! That is a miracle! I guess some of your logical thinking is finally rubbing off on me. I would never have the patience to do weaving but it sure is an interesting process. I hope you'll show the finished product. Thank goodness you got your computer problems solved!

So good to see you back. I understand about computers. At times I am sure they are useless. I am doing a great deal of spinning right now. Grew my own flax last year and have processed it for spinning. Want to spin my husband a shirt out of the linen. Growing more flax this year as I do not have enough for an entire shirt. More work to do of course!

Will do this once I get my Erika 4 shaft table loom later this year. My have a foot operation later this year so the Lori counterbalance will be out for me for 6 weeks. Of course, that happens just as Lori is being fixed so that she works as she should....of course!

Thanks for the clarity, it is indeed very helpful. I just recently purchased a Louet Erica 4 Shaft, How would I look up patterns, Thanks

How to look up patterns: You could buy a book of patterns, for example “A Handweavers Pattern Book” by Marguerite Davison, is a very good book. But if it were me, I think before following someone elses patterns, I would set up to do a plain weave or straight twill just to get used to the loom. Maybe do a simple color gamp in plain weave.

Wondering if you have woven and/or woven Carol Strickler's #508? I have a vest pattern New Look 6393 that appears straightforward and #508 intrigues me. Thank you!

I have not woven that particular pattern from the Strickler book, but I can certainly see why you are looking at it for a vest, it sure does suggest that.

Thank you so much for this video, I actually understand it now. I have a 4-harness Schacht table loom so I can only do patterns with 4 shafts but at least now I can figure out how to do it. From what I see in your video, the #1 shaft is always on the left, is that correct?

For my ashford and louet looms that is correct! I have a very old home built loom (I made it one summer in my garage, took a couple cases of beer to complete it), on that loom the leavers are on the side so the leaver for shaft 1 is at the front and shaft 4 at the back. It really depends on how the manufacturer of the loom wanted it to be. Thanks a million for watching and commenting on my videos.
